This is good quality and reasonably priced at $18/50 feet. However the description should be revised to clearly indicate that while there are two strands of wire in red and black, these are NOT fused together. The wires are loose but wound on the same spool. Otherwise, it is as described. The silicone sheath and pre-tinned wires are very flexible and should be suitable for corrosive environments. ... show more

The photo appears to show that the red and black wires run together as a pair, but that's not the case. They are separate wires. Very flexible and the wire quality is good for marine applications like my boat wiring but having separate wires made it more difficult to fish them inside my pontoon boat's aluminum tube Bimini frame. It's not a major flaw, but if I had known that they were separate wires on the spool, I would have ordered something else. ... show more

Basically you're getting a total of 200' of wire, one black and one red. It's attached if needed or can be separated with a quick snip and pull. The stranded wire is tinned which is an excellent feature at this price point. You can see my pictures as to the quality. After a quick strip I soldered for effect. Excellent solder connection with no issues. Yeah, yeah, it's made in China. Go ahead, try to find US made stranded copper wire AND tinned at this price. I triple dog dare you. ... show more

These are simply two independent runs of wire someone took from two other spools and rolled them onto a single small spool together. The two strands are not molded together into one multi-strand wire for an easy routing and installation. I could have sat in my garage and taken two strands myself from other rolls more cost effectively. ... show more

Purchased for replacing fog lamp wiring on car. Was looking for wire that was very flexible. This spool was the perfect gauge for my project, and the spool is heft and wound with both red and black wire that is not connected- each wire is independent of the other. I know a lot of comments I have read on wire was critical of whether the wires were connected or not. For my application, I actually preferred that the wires were individual. The covering is very flexible on each wire. The inside the wires are stranded not solid, and silver. I had no issues soldering this wire to other wires, and ran about 6-feet of soldered wire, and no current issues at all connected to car's 12v system powering LED fog lights. This is NOT zip cord — it’s just two lengths of low-quality wire wound up on the same spool. If you’re looking for the wires to be joined, buy something else. If you’re looking for lengths of black and red wire, buy something better and cheaper.

I discovered silicone jacketed wire during my 5th scale racing days. These 3' cars were exposed to all the elements as well as the 5th scale and electrics are. If you need something very flexible and with super insulation against almost anything then silicone jacketed wire is the only way to go. The 14AWG that I am using can handle almost 10 amps of current with no issues. The super find stranded wired is very easy to solder and shrink wrap. It seems like the seller Milapeak has the best for the money. On the spool I bought you get 20' of red and 20' of black. I am using this spool to run oil temp and pressure wiring inside of split loom tubing to gauges in my Si. Can't say enough about silicone jacketed wire.. ... show more
