1. These glasses are clear, cylindrical, and pleasant to hold and drink from. 2. The top edge is slightly rounded, so it feels comfortable against the corners of your lips when you are drinking from it. 3. The bottom of the glass has a thick base, which gives it a lower center of gravity, which makes it resist tipping. 4. These glasses do not hold 13 ounces. 12 ounces will fill it right to the rim. Don't try to pour a 12 oz beer into that one of these glasses to drink it. It will spill over. They will comfortably hold 10 oz, or a little more. 5. I will confidently recommend these glasses to anyone who wants clear glasses of an uncomplicated design that have straight sides and resist tipping. I like these glasses very much. ... show more

We have been using these drinking glasses at home for over a month and they have performed very well. The set arrived in an elegant box with a styrofoam insert to keep the glasses securely in place, and each glass was wrapped in wrapping paper for added protection. I like how comfortable the glass feels in my hand, and it has some weight. The glass is neither thin nor thick, but the thick bottom design is really impressive. Cleaning these glasses is simple when hand washed and dried, but I threw them in the dishwasher every other day and had no problems. These glasses can be used to drink water, juice, and other cold or hot beverages. The rims are nice, and I found no flaws in any of these glasses. Oh my! This is simply a beautiful set of highball glasses. Awesome size because they are just a pinch over a 12 oz canned beverage, so no awkward leftover bit in the can. I can't decide if my favorite feature is the extra clear glass that you only get with crystal or that the shape is unique because the design is tall, slender and elegant in its simplicity. We have a set of cut crystal highball glasses that we love, but I'm thrilled to now have a different style that will better suit some drinks. I particularly like the thick base of the glass that is well weighted and plays with the surrounding light. Even though the glasses are dishwasher safe, I will be washing them by hand so they won't etch over time-I'd hate to loose their lovely sparkle. ... show more

The glasses are pretty but extremely fragile. The base is solid and heavy, but the top is so thin. I accidentally tapped one against my countertop as I was emptying the dishwasher and the top Immediately chipped. Also kind of hard to clean because its so narrow. Great quality glasses that performed well in the dishwasher. After a week of dishwasher cycles, these still look brand new...unlike the last glasses I purchased.
