This is not your run of the mill speaker wire. Easy to use. It doesn't want to roll back up as bad as other brands when it is unwound from the reel. Making wire management a lot easier. The black color looks much more professional than that clear stuff. The product has a nice well made feel to it. The wire isn't as brittle as other cheaper wires. I purchase only 100 feet spool wish I had got the 200 feet spool I like this wire I ran all my front channels front right and left and center, also my front height speakers and one surround back. This is why I regret not get the 200 feet spool good looking and flexible speaker wire to run. My son and I like this wire very much I am going to getting more of this speaker wire to finish the rest of my 11.2 channel home theater system. Bought this specific wire because of its price, gauge, and color. I wanted black or brown wire to blend in with my dark wood floors, which it did perfectly. Unrolled and layed very flat unlike some wires that have a memory and always try to coil back up. It’s speaker wire, it seemed to get the boom boom from the receiver to the speakers. Not sure weather it being CCA (copper clad aluminum) vs solid copper makes a big difference or not. If it was solid copper it would be way more $$$. Pros -Black color blends in well with dark flooring -low price for 12AWG -splits/strips easily -red stripe makes it easy to determine polarity - labeled every foot on wire so you can tell how much is left on spool (IE “058FT” -easy to form around obstructions, holds shape CONS -CCA (copper clad aluminum) probably doesn’t perform as well as solid copper wire, but I suspect only a crazy audiophile could tell the difference ... show more

Look, if you’re reading reviews it’s because you already understand the importance of low impedance and proper shielding. You bought and own a quality receiver and speakers worthy of caring about the wires. So, buy 12AWG that has Copper clad aluminum, proper braiding (twists), top tier shielding and couples with banana plugs. THIS IS IT - you’re done looking. With all the digital data that’s going to run through your wires: 720, 1080i, HD, Bluray, and now 4K HDR - movies, music, Streaming, Bluetooth, and over the air antanna, OMG get the best you can afford! I did the work for you - this isn't the best product for the money. It is the best product at the best price. They even make it easy to keep track of positive and negative sides. Ck ourt the pic.
