  • So much cheaper than renting or buying from a welding supplier
As a home welder, I rented a bottle/tank of welding gas from a local welding supply store, and I don't weld every day. And after awhile it gets kinda expensive monthly or yearly for my bottle/tank. I did the research and the math. It was much cheaper to buy my own bottle/tank. Now I own it, all I pay for is a refill. Should have done this years ago. ... show more

  • Good tank
Not allot I can say about the tank, other than it came to my door in good shape, not scratched up or anything, with a good coating/paint job. It was full as expected and the date stamp on the bottle was within the range the company said it would be. Tanks are expensive, but to me it's better to own it than pay rent on one forever. I think the going rate where I live is 30$ a month, which would add up to more than this tank cost to buy pretty quickly. ... show more

  • Nice filled bottle with a DOT current stamp too.
Be apprised, they are heavy so your delivering carrier may need a hand getting it out of their delivery truck. Tank (bottle) arrived well packed in a heavy pasteboard box with expanding foam around it, it came completely unscathed without a scratch on it, very impressive packaging. While not as inexpensive as a filled bottle from your local welding supply, prefer owning my bottles and having them filled at the local compressor station anyway and 120 cubic foot (filled) is an ideal size for me. I checked the bottle immediately to insure it was full, and it was. Regulator pressure gage showed 2000 psi which is full. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and it delivered early as well. I recommend Weld Fabulous for the purchase of filled bottles as well as new unfilled bottles. Of course it would be less expensive to rent-lease bottles from your local welding supply but my preference again is owned bottles. No rental fee ever and a not banged up bottle to boot. ... show more

  • Brand new Hydro dated tank!
I received a freshly painted, light gray tank with a full 10years hydro life to the month. I think it was probably freshly reconditioned and filled in the same month that I ordered it. I am super pleased with the entire purchase process!

  • Can’t get the cap off..
Ratchet strap around the tank and using an oil filter wrench it will not budge the entire collar is turning should the cap be that tight? Also have tried using a pipe wrench didn’t work kept slipping, big blue channel locks the 460’s I think is what they’re called still slips see the scratch marks on the cap? Yeah it’s tight, and even tried the oil filter wrench that causes the whole collar to turn. How else you supposed to get the caps off?? I have contacted the seller and hoping to hear back from other reviews I read this seemed like the obvious choice but apparently not. I would not buy this one if you can go to your local supplier do that least they’ll be able to work with you I’ll end up taking this tank there if I don’t hear from the seller cause unfortunately per the policy this is not returnable and I doubt the seller will even acknowledge the issue. So be warned if you buy this tank. It ain’t cheap and if you can’t get the cap off then you just wasted all that money. Will provide an update as soon as I figure out what to do. Update 10/29/24 Seller reached out and advised sometimes the cap gets torqued overly tight and could also get knocked out of placement in shipping given how beat up the box was I wouldn’t imagine any different. Thankfully the seller is working with me on this one and hoping to get a new cylinder that won’t be so tight/cross threaded/paint welded to the cylinder you get the point. 4 stars now because this has been a process. ... show more

  • 2,325 PSI on arrival and Tank without protective cap weighs 67.6 lbs
I'm not sure how much gas these are supposed to contain when they are full but I wanted to take a digital weight measurement of the tank out of the box as well as the initial PSI rating so that I can compare that whenever I have to fill the tank the next time since I know that my gas supplier will fill it to max capacity allowed. I will update this review with any shortages of gas fill from the manufacturer distributor here... ... show more
