The media could not be loaded. This review is on the battery powered 1/2” impact from Protmex. The images show details of the kit after unboxing and using it. The listing provides a good description of its features and operational use. The impact is constructed with a hard plastic main body and aluminum front housing that contains the steel anvil assembly. Both of the two batteries came almost fully charged. I like the fact that a base station style charger is provided. A good variety of common sized impact sockets and one extension along with a rugged custom foam core carrying case finish out this set. Everything is kept neatly and organized and ready to go when you are. The variable trigger operates smoothly, and although difficult to see in the sunlight the speed control indicator functions properly. The reverse brake function also works as advertised but for me personally I don’t see the need for it. Whether you’re using the impact in the forward or reverse setting it stops rotating almost immediately when you release the trigger. You can see in the short video clip and one photo I used it to remove the 5/8” axle bolt and nut from my mower. This had thread locker applied and the impact loosened it with no difficulty whatsoever. You can also see in one of the photos used it to remove one of my golf cart wheels and with the ability to turn down the speed setting it reduces the possibility of damaging the wheel studs from using excessive torque when tightening the lug nuts. This is a very useful kit to have whether it’s at work, home or on the road. This is a quality impact set and I’m impressed with its performance.     • Protmex 1200N.m Cordless Impact Wrench - worked great!
I charged this immediately when I received it and it charged in about three hours. I had no idea that I needed an impact wrench to replace the blades on my electric lawn mower. I was able to replace them easily with this impact wrench. It is powerful and comes with two battery packs. I only need one battery charger but two is nice. It is easy to hold and work with. There is a small LED light that will be helpful if you are working in an area with low lighting. I worked in my yard in daylight so didn't need the light. I have never used an impact wrench prior and found this easy to use. I will update my review if anything changes and I have more time to use it. ... show more
