These were so handy on our trip throughout Italy. Made a shared suitcase do-able and gave us room for souvenirs. Easy to use -we opened and re-sealed every few days as we went from hotel to hotel and they always worked as expected.

These are among my favorite and most recommended packing items. I most recently used them in a large suitcase and carry-on bag, to maximize space for a week-long work trip. I was able to fit 4 rayon dresses and 2 blouses into one carry-on size bag; 6 T-shirts in another; and 2 pairs of jeans and 2 light cardigans in another. They work best when you stack the items as if in a drawer, and leave some room on top of the pile for easy rolling. The bags are vented on the bottom seam; since some bags have better vents than others, you may need to flip the bag over while rolling, to get the most out of it. (They all get to the same place, so this was not an issue for me, just good to know after using them a couple of times.) The zip-loc slides provided don’t work as well as I’d hoped (some fell off after one use, some didn’t zip well), but again, the high functionality of the bags overrides the need to manually pinch the zip-loc closure. Once you arrive at your destination, your clothes are as fresh and ready for wear as when you packed them, no wrinkles. One of my favorite features is the reusability of the bags - we’ve used one bag at least 6 times so far, and there’s no change in viability. I’m looking forward to using the larger size for packing towels for our family summer vacations. Needed to reduce the sheer volume of winter clothes that was driving me insane(r). This did the trick. While it's not quite as neat as the product images lead you to believe , let's be real, can you really lay bulky sweaters totally flat? It worked. Bags feel flimsy but turn out to be really sturdy. I used my Dyson to get most of the air out, but once it met resistance, it would shut down thinking something was clogging the filter. I finished the rest with the hand pump which worked really well. I would not recommend you trying to use the hand pump for the whole thing. You'll be there for a long time. And your arms will get very tired. At least mine, mine felt like spaghetti arms but then again that's me and zero exercise. Time will tell to see if these things lose the vacuum ,you do get a warning however that does say you will have to vacuum once in a while which, to me makes perfect sense. I like them it looks pretty cool and it makes me feel like I'm being super efficient! ... show more

These things are huge lifesavers! We used two boxes of these space saver bags to pack all our clothes, linens, pillows, etc while moving. It was so easy to compress down and transport our things in these bags as opposed to cardboard boxes. Although, it was quite tiring pumping out all the air with the hand pump, so we used our vacuum when possible. Due to COVID-19, the movers weren’t able to bring our stuff for a month. The majority of bags held their seal strong during that time. I would say about a quarter of the bags somehow managed to get leaks in them, and were filled with air upon arrival. However, the bags are still very sturdy and make transporting super easy. I just wish all of them held their seal for the price I paid. This is my main complaint. Some of the plastic sliders used to close the bags were also missing after the move, which is not as big of a deal since I’m able to close the bags with my fingers like a regular ziplock bag. However, it’s just a pain to create a tight seal. It is difficult to know for sure what items can and cannot go in the bags. Leather and fur is clearly marked as not suitable for the bags. However, I didn’t think that my memory foam bathroom mats would not fluff back up after putting them in the bags.. If you’re unsure at all, don’t risk it! I wouldn’t want your items to get ruined. Overall, I am pretty happy with these space saver bags due to the amount of time they saved us while moving. However, I would put it at 3 stars simply due to the fact that not all our bags were functioning correctly. EDIT: I just unpacked my puffy jackets for the upcoming fall season, and none of them would fluff back up after being stored in these vacuum bags for 8 months. Not even after washing, and tumble drying. All my expensive, heavy-duty puffy jackets are completely useless now. I will have to buy a whole new set of outerwear, which is going to cost hundreds of dollars. (Note: My single down-filled jacket puffed up after tumble drying with tennis balls. However, none of the synthetic jackets can be fixed, and I am weary of putting my down jacket in there ever again.) I’d also like to note that none of the pillows I stored in these bags have fluffed up either. They are also permanently damaged, so I urge you to only store normal tshirt and jeans in these bags. ... show more
