My two miniature Australian shepherds have managed to run across every single light in the ground. They are not broken however they are slanted they come off of their post easy. Also the illumination is not as bright as being anticipated but for the price wait and ease of use these are good lights for beginners. If you are only going to use them for decoration as opposed to illumination, that would also work. We purchase a box of 16 and the only way they light up a good portion of any buffet is to have them no further then two feet apart. But hey don't let my opinion stop you from making this great purchase ... show more

Even if made of plastic and not metal, a dozen lights at this price is a great value. Be sure to twist the top left to remove and turn on the switch then put top back on before installing. Also if you have rock hard ground like we do, breaking up the soil with a metal spike of some kind first was helpful to avoid any risk of damage. ... show more

These are smaller than expected and very flimsy. Even when we put them in a potted plant, the stakes bent. After 1 day of use they looked like they had been in the yard for years. Would not recommend.
