These are a smaller diameter rebar than I expected but they still work great. I got these to use in the garden as stakes to support a waddle fence but I have used rebar like these historically for a variety of projects. around the garden. unlike some other varieties, these have a great curved top and are coated to prevent rust, which makes them ideal for outside use. I just purchased a chicken run that has tubes as the structure. I can get some serious wind where I live. I also have the chicken run covered with tarps for rain and sun protection. Because I’m not trying to have it lifted into the sky like something out of the Wizard of Oz, I wanted to get some grounding stakes designed to hold that tube. These ground stakes are rebar. They are a little bit thinner than the rebar I have around the farm that I’m using. But they do have the swirls and are substantial. They are more weighty than a standard garden stake. There are a bunch of them, so I went ahead and used every single one on my chicken run space. I hammered them in with a rubber mallet. My ground is a combination, but it is a little bit more compact. They held into the ground well and I think they provide a very sturdy base. I am sure these would be good for other things as well including a trampoline. ... show more

I was quite impressed with the quality of these. Used them to hold down a geogrid for my stone pathway. I have very heavy, compact clay soils and was able to tap these in with a 3lb mallet. They would work around rocks without bending. very strong and have a great coating that barely chipped while hammering. For the price I was expecting a much cheaper product. You can't make these yourself for cheaper. I would highly recommend these to anyone. ... show more

The set of 20 came-- we actually got them just in time to place them around our garden greenhouse and netting. They work great. They are more of a steal color than dark brown as seen in the picture. They go into the ground very easily with a mallet hammer. They hold very nicely. They have a coating on the ground stakes to prevent rust. The box was heavy-- however, each stake is light and does not take much effort to place in ground.
