  • Noticeable
I put this in my un-insulated metal building on the bottom of the 6” c purlins foil side up. First thing I noticed was while in the process of installation the areas covered were 18 degrees cooler according to my flir temp gun. This was on a 96 degree day with the sun directly overhead. The product is very tough and very versatile. I attached it using self tapping screws…. Worked great if you didn’t tighten them too tight. Cuts easy with a razor blade or a good pair of scissors. As the weather cools down I’m noticing condensate on my roof instead of on the inside of the shop. I’m really hoping this works equally well in the winter as it has though this summer. I recommend this to anyone looking for a fast efficient solution to radiant heat. ... show more

  • Durable and definitely worth the money
I ordered a roll of this and it’s great. I installed it in 8’ pieces using one single staple in one corner and pulled it taught in the adjacent corner without issues. I mostly purchased to help with my shops lighting and it helps a great deal with that.

  • Good stuff

  • Great insulation for garage/workshop/shed
I used this to cover 6” fiberglass insulation in the walls and ceiling of my garage/workshop. The white exposed surface provides a nice clean look and improves the lighting situation in the space. This was easy to cut and staple during installation, but is remarkably resistant to unintended puncturing/tearing. The 4’ wide rolls were manageable as far as handling and maneuvering them during the install process, and that width allowed me to get everything covered pretty quickly. I purchased 4” wide tape to cover the seams, and there were no issues adhering the tape to this material. I can’t speak to how well it insulates, but I definitely recommend this as an exposed wall covering option that may also provide insulating value. ... show more

  • Close to perfect
I bought 5 rolls of this radiant barrier to install in an aircraft pole barn hangar during construction. I intended to use them as a drip guard under my exposed fastener metal roof, but the wind prevented me, so I ended up using them on my walls for an air barrier. They do reflect or radiant heat extremely well, such than when the sun’s on them it makes installing a bear of a task. However, if you want to use them for the radiant effect, note you need at least 1/4 air gap on foil side, otherwise there’s heat benefit. There is no “R” value to radiant regardless of what claims are made, and was one of the reasons I went with this suppliers…..then didn’t list bonus energy R value claims. The rolls are moisture impermeable so if water gets on one side it won’t pass through to the other. One side has Mylar foil tape, and the other side is white woven material that looks like a house wrap but without the possibility of air getting through. The material is reasonably strong and tear resistant or at least you won’t be able to tear it with your hands, but 45 MPH winds will still rip it if the material starts flapping. The only ding to 4 stars out of 5 is that rolls are not perfectly rolled in the factory and have intermittent creases throughout. However, the creases are only a cosmetic appearance and don’t affect the function of the material. ... show more

  • Better than Tyvek
I used 3 different house wraps for my complete remodel. Of course I had to go with the "gold" standard Tyvek but I was disappointed with how mildew grew on the plywood beneath. I tried this Energy Products and loved how thick and energy efficient it is as well as how well it holds up. I then replaced most of the Tyvek with this. Highly recommend. ... show more
