I could only give this a 4 star at this time. I have only gotten to use them once. I shoot quite frequently long range. Not having lint left in the barrel is important. So I haven't really had the chance to properly evaluate the product.

Finally used my last bag of Southern Bloomers 1 1/4" round patches for .22 to .270 caliber. Tried ordering some more to find out Southern Bloomer, does not make that particular size anymore. I ordered several other brands and sizes that did not meet my expectations. I found Skyline Center Inc.- Gun Cleaning Patches - 1 1/4" Round Bulk 1000ct. - .22.270.223, Caliber - Made in USA and read the reviews. These patches are the perfect size for a .223/.556 rifle. Nice snug fit in the bore but not to snug. I didn't have to hammer the patch through the bore like a couple of other brands I tried. They are a little thicker than the Southern Bloomers and take a little more force to push through which is fine. I used a Dewey .22 caliber rod and .223 cleaning jag not the .22 lr. jag several reviewers recommended and it worked fine. Al in all I am very content with these and am ordering more. ... show more

    • Thinner material than PS. Srinkflation in size

The patches are thinner than proshot. Also the 2" round is at the very edge of being smaller, like srinkflation. Not tight in my My 6mm rifle. I'll use them to wet the barrel and push beginning & brush foul out but I'll use better to actually clean with.
