The lock washers are shipped in bags, so there is no mixing. The material looks great, very nice surface finish and no sharp edges except for the lock edges. The washers are more magnetic than I’d expected, but I think that is ok. These are said to be made from 304 stainless steel, and you think of 300 series stainless as non-magnetic except when the material has been cold worked. The color absolutely looks like stainless to me. I noticed they do not spring back fully after being crushed flat. For instance, the M4 washers are made from .043 material and measure .083 thick at the split. After flattening, using a Knipex pliers wrench, they spring back to .065 thick at the split. Should still be enough to function well as lock washers, but perhaps not the springiest they could be. The other thing I’d point out is the quantities of washers. There are 200ea of M2 M2.5 M3 and M4, and only 12 of the M10 and 8 of the M12. I think the set would be more useful if it contained 30 or 40 of each size. Four stars for a compact assortment of split ring locks, even if the quantities aren’t the most useful. ... show more
