These were heavier than expected, and I think that is a good thing. I have no concerns about my tent, etc., blowing away with these in the ground. You remove the top bolt and that allows access to the bolt used to drill these into the ground. But wait! The top bolt and the drive bolt are different sizes! I need two nut drivers to operate these. That is a mistake. Having one nut driver installed on the drill means you don't have the opportunity to lose the second one. Waaaay easier to install than the anchors I was using before. Only been on a couple months so only time will tell how they hold up. But so far so they are great! I’m using them to anchor a temporary carport/garage thing with the metal bars and tarp-like walls.

Not sure why these are getting such good reviews. I can not get them to drill in at all. They do not come with a bit driver at all, so I found one on Amazon. Didn't make any difference. No matter what setting I use it will not screw into the ground. Save your money and the hassle & get the Hex Pegs Drillable Tent Stakes instead. They co.e with the bit driver & have been worth every penny, unlike these, which are now looking for a new home. The bag they come with ripped after I added just three stakes. The stakes have also punctured the bag in other places and ripped a hole in the sun shade tent bag they were purchased to help anchor. All in all a very regrettable purchase. Since I have not been able to use them for their intended use I can't really comment on the durability or sturdiness. They seem well constructed, but actual use is very poor design. ... show more
