Two years ago I painted my steps with a waterbased, outdoor paint and it peeled, held moisture under and was a wasted investment of money and time. My neighbors painted their steps with a stain/sealer even though they did not remove ALL of the paint on their steps. They still look fine enough. We live in an HOA that did not tell us NOT to paint but to use stain/sealer. . . whatever . . . I had to put a tarp over my steps to let them dry as there were rain clouds in the sky. (It did not rain and the steps dried). Label says they will dry within two hours at 65 degrees F, with humidity over 50... Temp was 59 degrees. . . I gave it a few days and the steps dried. I did not wash the brush well, only rinsing it. Now it has hardened streaks of stain/sealer in it that will not rub or peel out. However, when I bather the sealer on my fingertips washed away easily. This is a great product. A great color. I just put up a privacy fence which was pressure treated, but needed stained and sealed for the upcoming winter. This looks good, but I ran out. Two gallons cover five eight feet length fence panels and I have nine panels, so I obviously need more. It is runny and I advise wearing a mask while applying because it can be irratating to the lungs. Other than that, people kept walking by and giving me a thumbs up. ... show more

I'm not too sure why others had anything bad to say? My deck was pretty beat up, there was no treatment on the deck at all. Kids and I pressure washed it twice really good. Applied the stain and our dry wood just sucked up the stain. I decided to wait another week to apply a second coat (this coat should be thinner than the first coat) and I think it turned out great. We had really humid temperatures so it did take a bit longer to dry but that was due to the humidity. I loved the product so far. Thank you 😊 ... show more

Stained my deck a couple weeks weeks ago and figured I’d let it wait out a few rain storms to review it. The color is nice but it definitely washed out in some spots, and is a dull color. One of the 2.5 gals covered the top area of my deck (45ftx15ft). Make sure to shake it because it seperates almost completely in the jug. Also, my deck is incredibly STICKY even weeks later. Probably will avoid this brand next time around considering the price and effectiveness is not the greatest ... show more

I purchased the gray semi transparent to do the inside of my fence which was weathered and had never been stained. I wanted to keep the natural looking weather but make it more appealing and save it from my sprinklers. This did what I wanted it to on already weathered wood. If you plan to stain fresh new wood I may not suggest this as it is rather thin and you would need a pretty good coating. I used 2.5G to cover about 140 feet of fence and posts using a Wagner stain sprayer. It took a minute to get used too. I do need more to finish since apparently I have a ton of fence I don't even want but was already here so back I come. ... show more
