It seems that many buyers are ill-informed about this product. Apparently it was popular on TikTok, but I bought this before knowing that. Caution is needed when purchasing this product, but it is a good product. Cautions: - THIS IS NOT A KIDS TOY! I repeat... THIS IS NOT FOR KIDS. DO NOT buy this for your kid if they are... say... under 16 or 17 year old. - THIS IS NOT A WEAPON. It will not work as a weapon nor a good walking staff. - THIS CAN BE A DANGEROUS PRODUCT. It is made of thin metal which can cut you if you are not careful. It can be accidentally opened randomly or after falling to the ground, causing it fly across a room. It can cause serious injuries to sensitive areas such as eyes and mouth. Advice: - Read ALL info carefully, including reviews and watch the videos on here and on YouTube before using this product. - Although it is NOT a weapon, treat is as such. Do not leave it around children or pets. DO NOT let either end point towards anyone. - When not in use, put it back in the plastic bag and back into the box it came with or any other secure containment. - Wear gloves to reduce danger. I bought some finger-less yoga gloves with pads on the palm. - USE CAUTION when closing it. Be careful of the metal edges. Point the top down and grab the bottom with your right hand. With your left hand slowly twist counter-clockwise as you slowly push down. Sometimes it will coil in an odd shape. Just press them down to straighten it. It may unravel exposing the sharp edges of the metal. You can fix this by rolling it around until it corrects itself. - UNRAVELED METAL. I've noticed in the reviews that people thought it was broken and just threw it out. Use the method above. - MAKE SURE you correctly secure the pin. OVERALL - Fun product in responsible hands. - Useful for magic tricks or just twirly it around and doing "tricks" with it. - The stickers can come off rather fast and I've read the same about the "paint." - It seems slightly expensive to me, but not overly expensive. - It can be annoying sometimes to close, but not a super big issue. - There could be a better design, but I guess they are doing there best with the money they have. ... show more

Its fun to use. It looks like magic when it pops out. (Watch the tutorial videos). Its made of metal so be careful! I shaved off a few millimeters of skin more than once. Hehe. Practice makes perfect. (My kids are afraid to touch it lol)

    • Great product but keep your distance from the user of the retractable staff

So I got this for my boyfriend because he always wanted one and he was having a lot of fun with it until he got a little too carried away, he discovered that you can throw it at the floor and it will pop out and it was just about the best thing ever to him, however this one unfortunate time he threw it against the wall. It proceeded to expand into staff form and hit him on the throat, we were both sitting down luckily but when he jerked his head back I was an unsuspecting target, resulting in an ER trip and explaining to the doctor what a retractable staff is and that he didnโ€™t hurt me on purpose. So this would be a great tool for anyone who isnโ€™t within a 10 foot range of the user maybe even further because we bounced it off the ground outside and it went pretty far. Overall the product is exactly as the seller shows, came super quick in the mail too. Kinda hard to roll back into its retracting form ... show more

Thank you!! This toy is incredibly cool and fun!! I have two boys, they are 10 and 14, and this brought so much excitement and entertainment!! However, when my 14 year old released it to grab it, it started to uncoil. Unfortunately, it sliced his index finger, pretty bad. This was not his first time playing with it and is very aware of the accidents that can happen. Itโ€™s been three day since the incident and still has a long healing process. He may have needed stitches but the way itโ€™s cut convinced me that they would probably just glue it. My son informed that he will continue to play with it, but thinks perhaps a glove should come with it, I know itโ€™s recommended, but more people would use it if it came with it and there would be less accidents. No part of this is to steer away a purchase, just simply making others aware that the material itโ€™s made of, can be dangerous. Again, itโ€™s an incredibly cool gadget! when purchasing this item there are a few things you need to know. one is that this product is cool when you do it right and know how to do it, because if you don't do it perfectly you will skin your hands over and over again. two is that this item as cool as it is isn't super reliable due to the fact that is made of a thin sheet metal that can bend and break. over all when buying this product it is cool and fun to use 70% of the time but the rest is full of pain and cuts. if it wasn't for the cuts all over my hands right now I would give this 5 stars but 3 will go for now. my personal recommendation is get a less expensive version of this just incase you don't like it :). ... show more
