This is NOT cast acrylic. Cast acrylic does not emit noxious fumes when engraving and cutting with a laser. I have used a ton of cast acrylic and this is nothing like it. Easily cracks and highly toxic fumes. DO NOT BUY

I was impressed with how this was packaged, both securely wrapped and with slip-on corner protectors. These were cheaper than other choices and my first attempt to score and snap my own boards. I am very pleased with every aspect of this. They are perfect for supporting single board computers and microcontrollers in cases or for lab projects with simple adhesive feet. I got these for a school project and they are even nicer than I thought they would be! After my project I’ll probably use them for a DIY project making them into picture frames or something similar. It did take some time to take the paper off each side.

    • Not Cast Acrylic, Be Caerful Using It In A Laser Cutter
The original description stated it was cast acrylic, it is not. I'm glad the seller changed this in the description. This stuff puts out the most TOXIC fumes when used in a laser. I wish I could return it. This cannot possibly be safe for use in a laser cutter. If you are using it for other purposes, it is good quality acrylic and packaged well. ... show more

I custom build comic book storage cabinets and use these for the display faces. They come with a brown paper that protects the clear plexiglass as shown in my images. When you remove the paper they plexiglass is flawless and solid.
