    • Works But Could Be Hotter With Battery

This ZUPIIY 13IN Heated Seat Cushion works as expected except that it does not get as hot as I would like for outdoor use when powered by a power bank. The cushion does not come with a power bank, so I used a 10000 mAh bank I already had, which is what the seller recommends. On the highest setting, the cushion produced heat, but not as much as I like. However, that was indoor on a recliner. I cannot imagine this would produce enough heat to be comfortable if used outdoors in cold weather. On the lower settings the heat was barely noticeable. On the other hand, I tried the cushion plugged into a charging block, and used that way the cushion got much hotter. There are two problems with that, though. One is that the manufacturer does not state that the device is intended to be used plugged directly into a charger, and the charging block got quite warm. Also, using it with a charger is not very practical outdoors, which is what the cushion is advertised for. Another issue I had with the cushion is that twice I started with it on high but it changed to low because I changed the setting by sitting on the switch, which is mounted on the seating surface. I also wish the cushion were a bit larger, especially the width and the height of the back, which only comes about halfway up my back. The heat also does not seem as hot on the back as on the bottom. Finally, the cushion stores with the seating surface outward, which means that lint, dust, etc. will collect on the seating area. Overall, I like the idea of this cushion, but the low heat level, poor switch placement, small size, and poorly designed storage mean that I cannot give this more than three stars. ... show more

Used it on my camp chair to stargaze in 30F. But design needs work. Power button is on the inner corner of the seat so your bum accidentally shuts it off every time you sit or move a bit. I tried swapping the seat position so the button is on your lower back which helped keep the heat on, but the battery pack, which is right next to the button, then is also on your lower back. Not too comfortable. But the heat works this way and can keep you surprisingly warm. ... show more

I have some friends who have birthdays as the season is getting colder. This might not seem like anything, but they do a bonfire for their birthday every year. This is a great addition to my camping chair for years it is a bit on the more frigid side. Nice to sit and be toasty as the festivities progress. One thing I really like is the connection is a USB-A which means I can use any of my power banks without having to worry about having just the right battery. A 10000mAh power bank lasts me much longer than the outdoor festivities last. I have found the older I get, the more I like a nice warm pad on my back on the cold evening. Another thing I like is the mobility of the seat pad. It folds in half with handles to easily carry it. And when you put it in the chair there are no tie downs or anything else for assembly, just plug it in and turn it on. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I own an older vehicle which does not have heated seating. I got this to use when we travel as my wife gets very cold even with the heater on. We were getting ready to travel so I wanted to test it out prior and placed it on my recliner chair. After plugging in the power bank (has a convenient pocket attached but it is placed so where you won't sit on it) the lights on the power button cycled through the different colors (red/blue/green). You still need to long press the power button to cycle through the different heat settings. On low temp (blue light) I could feel slight warmth and the mid temp (green temp) honestly felt the same temperature and there was no discernible difference, at least to me there wasn't. I guess the only way to truly determine any differentiation is to put a temp sensor to it. Now when I placed it on high temp there was a very noticeable difference in temp. It wasn't uncomfortable at all. I had my wife come sit on it at the various temps and she honestly preferred the high temp. The first thought I had when taking it out for use was that I'm pretty sure the power button would be accidentally pressed when sitting on it as it's placed on the bottom seat area. I tested by moving around a bit and I never ended up hitting the power button. Note: it does not come with a power bank so you'll have to purchase one separately. Overall this is a good buy as it's convenient to carry, lightweight and can be used in various areas (at home, at a sporting event or in your vehicle). ... show more
