No hurting your thumb trying to push a metal tab down like a majority of umbrellas have. And closure is just as simple. Just pull the top down until it clicks into place at the bottom. This umbrella also comes with a nylon carrier with over the shoulder strap for easy carry. The gray is a true light gray. Very sheek and clean.
