The media could not be loaded. These fit like an orthopedic shoe as far as the support and comfort, but they definitely have the exterior look of an athletic shoe. Exterior has suede accents as well as leather. And the upper is made of a mesh breathable material. The soul is thick and has deep treads along the base from the toe all the way to the heel. The heel has significant support in the back as well. In addition to manual leases there is Another lease that provides support from the back to the heel. There is a toggle at the rear of the shoe to tighten this unique lace for added support at my heel. Inside it there is a removable insole. This insole has extra padding at the heel and is built up on the inside of the arch. It also has raised bumps that massage the sole of my foot. Not sure why but I recently just bought a pair, and after ONE day of wear the red paint logo from both pairs started to peel off! I am upset because I like these shoes but after one day being worn it’s peeling off.

    • They look fun and are good to wear all day.
SIZING/FIT: 4* + I got the 11.5 size and that’s what I usually wear. My foot measures 11.25” long and the chart in the description says that the size 11.5 goes up to 11.2” measurement. I took a chance and came out on top here. So know that there is a little leeway in their measurements as the shoes are a bit larger than the chart. COMFORT: 4* + These are pretty comfortable to wear all day long. + The insoles are good enough that my feet don’t hurt when I am moving around in these all day. + The back of the shoes are comfortable on my ankles. CONSTRUCTION/QUALITY: 4* + The style and design of this is fun and unlike any other shoe I own. That’s saying something because I own over 200 pairs of shoes of all kinds. + The shoe seems to be built pretty well. Everything that’s glued is glued well (thus far) and everything that is stitched is stitched well (thus far). + The shoelaces are strong. + The colors pop and are just as shown in the pictures on the listing. + The extra lace around the shoe doesn’t do much, it’s more for show. I tried to tighten it and the ends hung down below my shoe and dragged. So I had to loosen them up and keep them as decorative. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 4* + These are a fun and unique pair of shoes that have found their way into my rotation. I have been wearing them about once a week. + I like that they are unique and stand out. My husband has been wearing these shoes for almost a week, and he finds them very comfortable. He's worn them for several long walks on local hiking trails where the ground is uneven due to rocks and tree roots, and he says that the extra-wide heel gives the shoes very good stability. The shoes have 2 separate lacing systems. There is a regular shoelace, and then there is a second, heavier lace that runs back and forth across the whole fabric portion of the shoe and terminates in a loop at the heel where it can be cinched tight (see photo). The product description doesn't explain the reason for this second lace or how it's supposed to be used. I assume it's to allow a tighter fit, but unfortunately you end up with a loop of shoelace at the back of the shoe that can get caught on objects on the ground and potentially trip you up. It's a nice shoe. Very comfortable on the foot. Fits as expected for my size. Well-made and reasonably priced. The black and white laces appear to serve no function. That must mean they are "fashion". It's lost on me. Is the idea to look like you're too cool to tie your shoes while still actually keeping them on your feet? These shoes are very, very comfortable. The one drawback is a weird drawstring. I don't understand the second type of shoelace that is a drawstring that crisscrosses the foot and tightens on the back of the shoe. When tightened, it leaves a strange excess of dangling cord with nowhere to put the excess. I have to tuck the excess somewhere on the shoe or they flop around when you walk. It looks strange because there is that extra cord beyond just what is normally there on a shoe. Once again, they are very, very comfortable. ... show more
