  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Looks great WITH decor to distract the eye
Pattern Name: fence panel
The media could not be loaded. I am SO disappointed in this product. It was REALLY a pain to put together, first because of the way you have to assemble the lattices, and then because I had no drill , and you had to screw through the end caps and the Vinyl post. In the end, once it was together, I was somewhat satisfied that it would do the job I got it for… because it was dark, with only my porch light to see it by. I thought it looked great in the dim light. But then when I went out in the daylight to look at it, .... I guess I expected that because they sold this for the specific purpose of hiding AC units or trash cans, that it would actually hide them. But for me It doesn't hide anything! The gaps in the lattices are so big you see right through it. Maybe that’s bec use my AC unit isn’t almost 4 feet tall? Maybe the lattice would distract the eye from the unit better if it came up all the way to the top bars of the panels. I still think it should hide it better, but I suppose it’s possible it could distract your eyes IF your AC unit is tall enough so you would focus more onthe lattice work, but I thought this was supposed to hide it enough that you would not really see the AC unit through the lattice. I don’t think you could separate the panels and then successfully put them back together in a very stable way if you rver had to move, because it doesn’t use screw holes to hold it together. It relies on the friction between the screw &vinyl to hold it secure. Once you take those panels apart, you would need the screws to go in the exact same spot /hole you created, or risk destroying the holes beyond use. Plus there is the possibility they just won’t hold as tight once you tookthem out and then tried to put it together a second time. Overall this seems to me not worth the expense, but maybe if you never have to disassemble it, and your AC unit is high enough to reach the too bar of the panel, it “might” distract your eyes enough fromwhat you are hiding that you would be happy with the results. Maybe if your AC is on the side of your house or sometging and its just todatisfy a HOA so you can’t see the unit obviously fromthe street. If that isyour purpose, maybeit would work for you. But for me, our unit isinour back patio area right next to where our patio chairs will be, be ause tgd people who built this Apartment complex had the foresight to put the trash container spot outside the fence, but not the AC :( I personally willhave to look for another solution. I just totally wasted $116. I feel like I just threw that money away :( For me, thissoean’t work at all. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!! Love them!!
Pattern Name: fence panel
I bought two sets to cover my a/c units, which were mismatched and one was ugly and about 20 years old. Although they took a few hours to assemble, the instructions were clear and it wasn’t very difficult, just tedious. One thing I want to point out that the instructions don’t tell you.. one of the three panels does not have the “ connector” holes on it, so make sure top and bottom match. Also a power screwdriver really helps. I love the look and quality so much that I just bought the highland lattice panels to cover my generator propane tanks and the huntersville panels to cover my pool equipment. I will post photos and reviews when they are completed! ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Did the job to enclose my AC unit
Pattern Name: fence panel
My AC unit was so ugly I could not take it any longer. We needed a 3 sided enclosure as we are in process of redoing our side yard. Most brands only offer 2 sided so we went with this option. Showing before and after. It did the trick. Note this does not come in panels so it takes some time to piece together. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Looking but Very Difficult to Assemble! Some Parts Missing!
Pattern Name: fence panel
Firstly, once completed, the A/C privacy screen looks nice; however, second and most importantly, the entire assembly was a lesson in adversity and difficult. The paper instructions claim it should take 45-minutes to assemble. Really? What with the seemingly zillions of separate pieces, it took me 3-hours, but it could’ve been longer had I not gotten some help! It should be noted that the video instructions in the Amazon add doesn’t exactly match the actual install (the front screen panel is different in the video with more assembly holes similar to the side panels; the actual front panel doesn’t have the extra holes). In addition, the pre-drilled holes were slightly off which made assembly a challenge (I had to re-drill some of the holes), and there were only 22 of the 24 1/4” self-angering steel screws that came with the kit (I needed those two extra screws, but was able to make due with similar screws I had in my tool box). Worst, though, was discovering that the final assembly, installing the side panels to the front panel, wasn’t properly covered in the instructions. I had to call Zippity to learn that the 4” self-tapping screws needed to be drilled through the front panel’s plastic end caps! This was definitely not shown in the Amazon video, either! Frankly, I don’t know if the bolts through the plastic caps will hold over time, but I guess I’m going to find out. Had I read reviews by other customers (something I usually do), I probably wouldn’t have purchased this screen, and I can’t say I’m glad I did. That all said, again, it does look nice and it seems solid, but I question how long it’ll last before falling apart. ... show more
