I bought this to retrofit into an existing porch to keep the dogs from walking away and not to be used with their fencing. It’s well made pvc and it’s a very clever design which is easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. I’m happy with the purchase overall but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the hardware they provide. The hinge is so small and thin there’s no way it’s going to hold up to frequent use. I already purchased replacement hardware to switch out. They came so close to a 5 star review but I can’t with this flimsy hardware they provide. ... show more

Fence/gate is perfect! As mentioned in a lot of the other reviews the hardware is questionable. My friend who installed it purchased other hardware and made it work perfectly. He was also able to tweak it a bit to make it a bit longer, since the gate was a bit short for the space. See photos.

    • Poor Quality Hardware
The Zippity fence concept is a good one. It is easy to install and to remove and makes great sense where a permanent fence is not wanted. The fence is of reasonable quality, but the hardware furnished with the gate is substandard. While the hardware furnished with the fence panels is stainless steel, the hardware for the gate is not, and the hinges rusted through and failed in less than a year. Zippity has good customer service and will replace the hinges, but who wants to continually have to replace hardware? I purchased my own replacement stainless steel hinges. ... show more

This is a cute fencing. it was easy to put together. Not the sturdiest to use for a full yard, but it worked for us. Used it for keeping our dogs away from the above ground pool heater and pump on one side of the pool.

    • Flimsy plastic, difficult assembly, waste of money

BEWARE! TERRIBLE PRODUCT . Difficult install (I build from scratch all of the time but bought this because install was supposed to be easy - it took me 3x longer than it would have to build from scratch). It looks okay when completed but very flimsy. One step of the assembly (after doing quite a bit of drilling in to hard plastic that does not have pre-drilled holes) is to use a small piece of wood and hammer the stakes down. When I did that the screws ripped right through the plastic and the horizontal bracing piece slid down and the screws broke through. It is a total waste of money and junk. Easiest install out there. It looks great and has literally weathered several storms. I like that if something (a dog) knocks out a vertical slat, it easily pops back in place. I really like zipping and have purchased other products from them happily

Trying to keep the dog in the barn and keep the roll up door open. This product works great. It keeps my dog in, lets air flow, and allows her to see outside. The little gate opens and closes easily for walking through. Can pull the fence up and out to get big equipment in, but not convenient to do.
