Okay I debated about the size to get after going through the reviews. I think when it says true to size it means true to the waist size on the chart. I wear a US size 10 mostly in pants, large in shirts usually. I'm about 5'3, 155-160. I originally bought the XL according to the chart but I didn't actually take the time to properly measure my waist. I think a size 10 to 12 usually equates to a 32.5 waist. So I should have gone with the XXL. I ended up returning the XL and it was very easy to do so. And then I bought the XXL which I just tried on. You have to definitely unlace the tie in the back and stretch it to the fullest. And then put it on. And then tighten it back up in the back. It will stretch to accommodate. You might also be comfortable in a 3x if the clothes you're wearing underneath it are going to be very bulky. If you're just wearing it over a t-shirt, the 2x would be fine. I think if I got it 3x, it would be too large but I'm just putting it over a dress for Halloween. The clasps are a little difficult but they eventually click and I think it looks pretty high quality for only being $13. But also it's $13 so you shouldn't expect it to last forever. I don't know why it comes with a thong but I ended up throwing that away because I'll never wear it. ... show more

STYLE This corset is absolutely gorgeous! It is a beautiful smooth satin, which makes it look almost gold. It looks absolutely beautiful on. It is super sexy, not only do I plan on wearing it under my wedding dress but I'm gong to style my wedding night lingerie around it! QUALITY I have bought corsets online for much more than the $12 this one cost, and they were such gross, cheap material that was closer to big-box halloween costumes. But this one feels like it should cost $75. The laces aren't super super soft, but you can tell they are very strong and they are the flat type of ribbons that you want in a corset for under clothes/dresses/etc.. SIZE I ordered a size large. For reference, I am 5'0", approx. 145 lbs (I'm trying to lose 15 lbs before my wedding), a 36D bra, 31" waist, and 43" hip. I'm short and curvy! I wanted this to help flatten out my lower stomach chub since my wedding dress is VERY fitted. It fits very very well, I think I could've gotten an XL (there is a bit of space in the back that the fabric behind the laces does not cover), but hopefully with the weight I am aiming to lose before the wedding, it will be perfect. But if not, it is definitely still wearable for sure! UNDER CLOTHES It defines my waist, smooths out my stomach and is not super bulky at all. I was worried about the front clasps/hooks being super visible but they BARELY stick out. With a thick enough slip, I don't think any lines will be visible under my fitted satin dress. COMFORT This is a VERY comfortable corset - I can breathe easily, sit comfortably, bend over, and more without any issues at all. It does not feel like it would ride up after a night of dancing at all. I've had several other pieces of shapewear that get the same job done, but I would be counting down the minutes until I could get home and take them off...this one is not suffocating, I feel like I may forget it's even on! Nice little underbust corset. The boning is "okay" but does not survive longterm strain. I've worn it about 3x for a cosplay and it did start to rip at one of the boning sites. Works well for short term use and decently priced.

It looks exactly like the product images. I took 2 small corsets and sewed them together to make one larger corset that laces at the sides, perfect for my plus sized friends!! The boning isn't super sturdy, but for the price I'm not mad at all.
