I bought this dress last minute for a wedding this past weekend and am SO glad I did! This is the perfect dress! Flirty and fun and super comfortable for a longer event. It is also nice and cool for warmer weather. I seriously could not recommend it more! I felt so pretty wearing it! I did order down from XL to L based on other reviews and am glad I did. The dress a really nice weight and is not at all see through. I basically wore it as is out of the tiny bag it came in. I did not steam or iron it, though it probably would have been useful in a couple spots. In general, it could be shoved a bag and still look amazing. Shapewear is not necessary with this dress as it is kind for many flaws... I didn't even wear a bra which NEVER happens! I am not little! There is cami-like elastic to keep the ladies from feeling jiggly. If you do want a bra for it, you'll likely need sticky boobs or something like that because the arm holes are rather roomy. Almost any straps, including a halter or strapless bra, will likely show. The dress shows all of your shoulders and quite a bit of upper back, if that makes you uncomfortable. I normally would not show that much shoulder, but for some reason, I felt okay with it in this dress. I am 54, but felt younger in this dress!😉 If you are on the fence, give it a try! ... show more

This is a beautiful dress and is well made. The size chart indicated I needed a large, but it was too big, especially in the bust area. I returned it and replaced it with a medium and it fit perfectly. I’m 5’8” and the dress came to mid-calf on me. With some fancy heels, this dress could be worn for a cocktail dress or even evening wear, but could also be used for an occasion like a summer wedding. I ordered it in black and love the simple elegance. If I had more occasions to dress up, I’d definitely order it in other colors. ... show more

I could have sized down to a large but liked the roomyness with the XL. I was feeling not the best about my body but having the dress on I felt beautiful and comfortable. I wore this dress for my Masters graduation professional photos and for actual graduation day. It is nice material and extremely flowly! I would note that the underarm holes came down a little more than I expected but the dress has a built in cami like bra slip. Came torn and frayed right out of the package. I'm not returning it, I'll bust out with the needle and thread because I need it for this weekend. But they really really need to work on quality control. Otherwise, I love the color, weight, and fit. The fabric is a little on the scratchy-polyester side of feel, but might soften up after a wash. This is a wonderful dress and easily one of the nicest clothing items I've ordered from Amazon. Perfect for a wedding or any dressy event. It runs very large, however. I am 5'6", 158 pounds and usually wear a M. I ordered a M but returned it for a S. The small is a perfect fit.
