Bought these to protect my hot tools during a road trip from the Bay Area to San Diego for a wedding. Since I drove I wasn't worried about anything being tossed around or smashed, but even with a packed car I feel these helped protect my items. I definitely feel like these can be a bit big for certain hot tools and for others they're too small, but overall it's a decent one size fits most kinda thing. I felt like it's a good price for 2 and they did their job. Can't speak for how they hold up to heavy travel but for simple protection in a suitcase they worked great.
