Portability is the number one reason I purchased this containment system. I had considered those folding metal panels but weight and portability was paramount. In my application. It works well will the topper zipped on. I found the sides collapse pretty easily under the strain of the weight of my dogs if they try to standup on the sides. With the top on it’s not a problem. Love that it as a full, bath tub floor, it’s light weight and easy to move around when shade is needed. Folding up is a challenge. Doesn’t really fold as flat as you think it should. The last fold in the demonstration video is lacking that little bit of information. Most places require dogs to be on a leash and three on a run (what if there’s no trees to set it up) is impossible. I like that my pups stay clean and safe inside the enclosure and are able to stand and move about with ease and insects are deterred by the mesh and flooring . The 42” is the size I got it’s perfect. Update after 4 weeks of use: as my cat’s recovery progressed we were able to leave the door open for him during the day when supervised and then most recently the door has been open full time (just packed the playpen up today!). My cat has still voluntarily been sleeping in the playpen with the door open and when he’s feeling feisty he attacks the rolled up door and the zipper with claws and teeth. In 4 weeks of use and him attacking it, there was only one thread that snagged on the door, no other damage. Definitely a quality product and I highly recommend it. The 45” was the perfect size for my 16lb cat. We have a small compostable litterbox, a good sized bed, his food, and there’s still space for him to take a few steps. He had bi-lateral FHO surgery and needs to be on restricted movement. Our other 17lb cat (the tuxedo cat picture) also likes to go in the playpen when his brother is out getting his PT. The playpen is a pop-up style…as he has gotten stronger he wanted out and did pull one corner of the octagon inwards. The rest of the playpen stayed in place. He has scratched at the mesh with his claws but nothing has ripped so far. ... show more

This playpen is very nice for my Forever FurBaby. She’s a puppy and it took her two times using it to not whimper when she first gets in. I love so much about her Little playpen. She plays in it, when she gets tired she falls asleep in it. If I’m busy around the house and stick her in there for a short time, I make it so she can walk out on her own. I love the fact that it’s portable, comes in very handy when visiting others. So versatile for using. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. ... show more

My cat loves his playpen. I take it outside and he loves that he can look up and look out all the sides. Only thing I would change is to have all the sides more screen like the doors so he can lay down and still look out.

I couldn’t really fold it back up after we opened for use. Just kind of pushed it together a little more and moved it as needed. Puppy chewed on it and eventually messed the zipper up enough we could no longer even use it. I let lasted a little over a month. Don’t leave it out for dogs that aren’t inside it would be my opinion. Put it up and away when not in it for use if they’re chewers. ... show more

got this for my baby kitten to chill in while i’m at work. was a little hard for my active lil baby to get used to but she really likes this, my older cat likes to just sit in it too. perfect for traveling too, im not sure about other purchasers but i had such a hard time folding this up. i actually have yet to fold it up, i’ve made a few attempts then gave up. ... show more

I bought the medium (which is plenty big) and use it for my 2 indoor cats who want to be outdoor cats-but they can't. I put this on the patio with me when I am outside so they can get a 360 view of the birds and bunnies which they love!
