This is our second warmer from this brand that we have purchased. When searching for a new one this fell in the middle price wise. As tempting as it was to go with a less expensive model, sometimes you get what you pay for. I did read some of the reviews on this and some complaints about it only lasting a few years. Well I will say that ours did last approximately 2.5 years, but with 3 people using it daily I feel that was an acceptable life expectancy. This thing is game changer for your bath or shower routine. It heats up your towels or robe and is such an embrace wrapping the warmth around you after stepping out of a shower. I remember the first time my husband used it he called me at work and was like OMG this thing is amazing. One of those little luxuries you never knew you wanted or needed until you had it.     • FIRE HAZARD - DONT BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN

First - all the pics people have posted of the inside paint flaking off are true and that starts happening immediately after the first few uses. I had it about a year and used it almost daily. Sometimes towels were hot - sometimes they were barely warm - and sometimes had super hot spots but also bone cold spots. BUT NOW FOR THE FIRE DANGER - one day it hadn’t been used at all and I walked into the bathroom and when I went near the towel warmer it was putting off heat like a freaking space heater. The lights were NOT on on the unit and it was making an electric ticking sound like it would when it was actually turned on, except the ticks were much faster. I opened the lid and the fumes that hit me in the face were shocking. The bottom plastic area was warped and melting and you could see the actual fumes coming out into the room. The outside of the machine was so hot I could barely pick it up and take it out of the room after unplugging it. THANK GOD I was home and I can’t even begin to imagine the devastation in my life if this piece of junk burst into flames and killed my two fur babies while I was gone. Really warms up towels, bathrobes, etc wonderfully! Greatest pleasure getting out of the shower and grabbing a nice warm towel to wrap yourself in! Only thing I didn’t like is that the insides of the bucket get extremely hot! If you accidentally rub your hand on the side whilst grabbing the towel, you will get burned! Same thing does not happen with the sides of a clothes dryer, for example. Might be warm but not burning hot. Just a precaution. ... show more

Contacted customer service through their website, about a week later, got an email from them asking for some more information, and today, a new unit was dropped off at our door!     • Spa like Towel Warmer that doesn't really meet expectations

Overview: This is definitely a great gift choice if you're trying to find a gift for someone who likes to take some time and relax with a hot shower. This Towel warmer will give them the spa like experience. Shipping: 10/10 the unit was shipped in its Carton box and it was packaged well so on arrival it was in perfect condition. Product: 7.5/10 There are some gripes I have with this product. First off the unit was not 100% level so it would teeter back and forth on the floor. It didn't matter where you put it and there was no way to adjust for it. Only solution would be to get some soft foot pads and offset the tilt. Secondly, the Timer isn't the most user intuitive and the interface isn't as well. To turn the unit on you have to long press it, must be a safety feature. You can then set your timer at 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 Minutes which will determine after how many minutes the unit shuts off. However as you move from 45 -> 30 min the indicator light remains on the 45min mark so you don't know if there is 15 or 30 min left on the timer. There is this clicking.... I can't really put my finger on what is causing this maybe the coils or something within the unit but ever so often when the unit is powered on there is this clicking noise as the unit is turning on and off its coils its fairly loud like a faucet dripping water. You'll notice this when you are heating your towels but it becomes non-existent when you are showering. Last and Most importantly the Heating. The Heating function is great when it works, the bucket is able to hold blankets / 2x towels / etc. However, the heating isn't 100% even. The top of the bucket heats a lot faster than the bottom and often times the heat doesn't permeate all the way through the towel or blanket your heating. So you'll run into an issue where one side of the towel is hot and the other is cool or warm at best. Summary: Great gift, wish they fixed some of the issues here but its passable. Would recommend to other Amazon Adventurers looking for a suitable gift in the holidays. ... show more
