I got the starry night cat, and while I'm not done, it is shaping up to match the example picture very well. The canvas arrives folded, so be prepared to work out the wrinkles before painting. You can stretch it out on a frame if that works best for you, but I've just pinned mine to a project board so I can paint on a easel. If you've never done on these, be mindful of not putting down too much paint or you could find yourself running thing and colors being uneven. I haven't seen that on this project, but have ran into the issue with other kits. It's much better to get to the end with paint left over and still be able to touch up spots. As another reviewer mentioned, expect to go over some spots more than once to cover outlines and numbers. Frugal and patient with paint is always a good mindset. ... show more

I have seen these pop up and have been wanting to try one, but when I saw this adorable kitty as a choice, I HAD to have it!! I haven't finished painting it yet as I have been taking my time in bits after work each day and it has been a nice way to wind down with some tea and painting this cute cat. I highly suggest painting the larger areas first, careful not to paint over the tiny detail parts, and then paint the tiny brush details last so they don't get hidden accidentally by any larger brush strokes. Thankfully, the instructions comes with a copy of the layout and color areas so if you do accidentally paint a tiny area, you can go reference the paper copy to see what you missed. This is definitely for adults as there are many teeny little details, so it's not recommended for children. Overall, the quality of the paint is good and the whole project is so much fun! I can't wait for it to be finished and I will probably put it in a frame in honor of my black kitty. ^-^ ... show more

I love this cat picture for the paint by number print. The set comes with the standard supplies for this type of kit. The cat is large and decent quality. The brushes are not the best, I use my own.

For some reason I expected this to come stretched on a frame already and it didn't. I think it'd be easier to paint if it was secure to a frame so I haven't started painting it yet. It's a nice design though and the brushes and paints look good.

I love paint by numbers so we're looking for different ones to try out. It's very zen and forces me to be okay with coloring a little outside the lines sometimes. This set is very close to great, but not quite. It comes with all the paint you need, 3 brushes, some hanging materials (but unlikely the kind you'll want), the pattern, and the canvas with outlines on it. All you supply are the cup of water and any cleanup supplies. However, the brushes are very cheap quality and caused imperfections when the hairs popped out in different places. The lines are also very dark and the paints thinner than some other brands, so you sometimes have to go back over spots again if you can still see the numbers and lines through them. ... show more

Like my other paint by numbers this size and intricate probably will take me around the usual 11-16hours to complete. Tip!: —-You can add a tiny bit of water to the paint if you feel like it would spread easier. —You can mark on the reference sheet places that you skipped over. There are some very tiny spots that can get “lost” easily. Example: within the darkest blue for the water (13) there is a small lighter blue (6) highlight. I circle the lighter blue (6) on the reference sheet so I will not miss it when doing all the 6’s. Very pretty painting!! Comes with 3-paint brushes, small colored picture, reference sheet and paint. There is even 2- triangular bracket rings and 2 screws for mounting if you want to wrap your painting around a pre-made or custom canvas. ... show more

This is my first paint-by-number attempt. I enjoy detailed projects & this is definitely detailed with plenty of small & tiny areas to paint. The canvas is rigid & can be laid out on a table. I'm guessing the folds will eventually flatten. The set includes the appropriate sized brushes, paint, hardware, & detailed instructions with helpful tips. The relaxing part for me is that the colors & pattern is already planned out, no need to think or decide. It's a large canvas & there's no rush. So far, I'd say this is worth the try. ... show more
