Finally some snow to try these on. (New England region). After a couple of uses - the highlight is the light, sturdy frame that makes it fairly easy to remove the shoes. Adjustable straps stay in place without interfering the motion. Even with the included trekking poles and bag, it is on the pricier side; the hope is that the durability, especially of the ratchet systems and the clamps justifies it. Used by an early teen boy and an adult male (140, 170 lbs). Wow! We were surprised with how quickly these arrived and with the quality of them! It was so great to be able to get a complete snowshoe package and not have to get them separately! We live in Alaska and have wanted to get out and do some snowshoeing! These are perfect! The quality is excellent, and it has everything we need to get out in the snow! These are the lightest snow shoes ever now all we need is some snow. When ordering it showed 10-15 days for delivery and my new snow shoes were sitting on my porch within 2 days - Way to go, I was worried I would not have them till after Christmas, we are going to the slopes if we have snow the day after Christmas. I went with the 8x25 size so that both my husband and I can both try them to see if they are worth getting another pair. I wasn't sure how the straps would be with my new shoe shoes since they are bulkier than my old ones but the straps are adjustable and I had no problem adjusting them to my fit my feet and my husbands. ... show more

This is a really nice all-in-one snowshoe kit! Instead of having to purchase each component separately, you get the snowshoes, carrying case. matching poles and both trekking and snow baskets for the poles. The included ratchet binding is a "must have" for easy on and off. I am super excited about this kit. Some friends introduced us to snowshoeing last year, and we got to try out a few different pairs of their shoes to determine what features we liked and didn't like. Impressed by the construction and design! The foot bed is actually on an axle which allows for the natural flex of your foot. The ratchet bindings work the same as a snow board binding ratcheting to tighten and lifting a lever to release. Another nice feature that I liked was the trekking poles are adjustable to accommodate any size person and do collapse enough to be put into the carry case. The snowshoes are a decent pair I have a different pair.These are good quality for the cost. They are made well and feel good wearing them. I have an old pair that these will replace.These are a lot better than what I had. The craftsmanship on these are up to date.
