Bought 2 of this cover, one for each dog crate, adult and puppy. While I like the cover itself, it fit nice and snug over the crates, and I like the optional mesh screen, as soon as I noticed all the Velcro loops that secure the cover to the crate, I knew they wouldn’t last long with my dogs. In 6 hours of being crated while the humans were away, adult dog had ripped off every Velcro loop, and puppy did some damage to the Velcro as well. If the Velcro wasn’t so exposed, maybe it would be better, but it was too tempting for these dogs. Otherwise, the plastic hooks and still attached, so I hope those survive. ... show more

This cover fits like a glove, and looks great. It has been very durable, but we only use it indoors. The side pocket is a great addition. It is much more pleasant to look at than the old blanket we used throw over the crate. TL;DR: Buy this because it's perfect; but if you have a chewer, spray the velcro straps with something to deter them from chewing. This crate cover is the perfect fit and helps keep the crate dark when my dog's sleeping or needs "calming crate time". It has the "window option" (you can unzip so they can see out of the side or get in/out from a side door) for the front and one side. I do wish it had the window/door zip on both sides as I have a small area where I have to place the crate and the only way it can be placed is to have the right side "window" option against the wall. Also, if you have a chewer (I do!), consider spraying the velcro straps with something to deter the dog from chewing the straps (apple cider vinegar, lemon, even tabasco if the other two don't work) because I didn't and he chewed almost all of the straps while I was gone for two hours (and after we had dog-park playtime so not that he's bored, just has separation anxiety after being adopted from animal shelter). Not sure there is other material they could use that is sturdier. All of that said, I would still buy this again in a heartbeat and even have suggested to a friend that she add the product to her dog rescue list of things for new pet owners to consider purchasing. Installing can be tricky as there are inner hook that get caught on crate- i suggest unzipping side door and secure one side at a time instead of all at once. Great quality and nice gray color. it doesn't fit exactly on top for 36in 2 door wire crate but pretty close (see pics).

It does fit snug but would have liked the straps to be held on a different way. My pup chewed the Velcro off within a few weeks and the little bungee hooks as well. Ball in all it’s held up and good material

We got sick of having to replace the towel/blanket we used to cover the crate b/c the dog would pull on it through the openings. This cover is durable and prevents the dog from doing so. The dog also enjoys the complete darkness that the cover provides (it makes him more calm, from my observation). I would recommend this product to anyone with a dog that's a bit more anxious in the crate. I like the cover. I just really hate that they didn’t add button holes to thread the “shade/roll -up cover” Velcro through. My puppy manages to grab ahold and chews them off! 😩 He also goes after the clips at the bottom, I believe they need to design a simple, plain inside so puppy’s aren’t enticed to ruin it . ... show more

This item was used to cover a crate I use so my cat can be outside. It was good quality and fit well. It will do well in the cold months to keep the wind out. However, it is not totally waterproof. His cat bed got wet. I needed something to keep the crate dry. Note: the seller has contacted me and has been very responsive to my situation. The crate did get wet inside after a lot of rain.
