  • Read the Instructions!!
Color: Natural
Didn’t read instructions thoroughly. The bridge you see first that isn’t fitted is the extra one. The one you use is located under the the strings near the chin rest. You also need to push the pegs in as you tighten, that’s why they come undone(they don’t ship the Instrument with the pegs pushed in all the way because it will damage it). Anyway, came with everything just don’t know how to put the pinky holder on… also if you’re worried about the tuner not working properly then download simply tuner. Again read instructions, literally tells u everything except the pinky holder 😭 ... show more

  • Good starter but needs documentation
Color: Natural
The actual instrument and accessories are good but would have appreciated some documentation since this would be things a shop would help with.

  • Decently built VSO, survived for the 5 minutes or so I needed it.
Color: Natural
This is an awesome VSO. I bought this for my wife for christmas. Now before anyone thinks I cheaped out on this, I had bought her a really nice violin from Kennedy Violins. Then I left the house for 15 minutes and UPS delivered it directly to her...... My wife, being the curious monkey that she is, decided to open said box and thank me profusely for the ruined surprise once I was home. I proceeded to order this one, put the good violin in the case this one came with, disassemble this violin and put all of it's parts minus the body into the good violin case along with a lump of coal and a tiny violin ornament, wrap it, and present it. She opened it christmas day expecting her amazing new violin, and then looked at me with confusion. After explaining that her violin was in there, she found the tiny violin. At this point she was a bit miffed, so I left the room, brought in this violin, and proceeded to play "Symphony of Destruction" on it with a meat cleaver. By the way, the body of this violin is constructed pretty well, it took a couple of good whacks to carve it up. She watched in horror with a tear in her eye as I smiled. I then left the room and brought her the second case with her real violin in it. The look of relief mixed with confusion on her face was priceless.. I then said "Merry Christmas.. Don't open my mail." and ended up on the receiving end of a punch.. All said and done, it was worth it, and this VSO would probably make a decent impromptu club. ... show more

  • Overall not bad.
Color: Natural
While I am new to the violin world, I bought this with super low expectations and I was decently surprised! I was expecting the sound post to be broken and for it to be impossible to tune, but luckily it came with everything alright! With that being said, you are getting what you paid for. It is difficult to tune (you have to push the pegs in while you turn) and you will probably have to re-tune every time you place the instrument down. However, if you're wanting a new project and don't mind working out the kinks, I think this is a good beginners instrument! Also, a little side note, if you do buy this violin, there will be two types of resin. The circular resin isn't too good. I would just focus on the rectangle one. ... show more

  • Sounds pretty reasonable, Plays and keeps tuned (within reason),
Color: Natural
The bow took a while to rosin. Initially the strings went out of tune quickly but after a few days it only requires a tune before every practic. Is around 4-6 cents from tune. You must push the pins in sometimes if it won't stay set. I am already progressing with this violin after about a week of practice (1/2 day). I am learning to make pleasant notes without sqwaaks and squeaks. Whats not to like. Next violin will be many times more expensive in six months ...if my interest continues (likely will continue). I have played the organ and the piano for years so I have some background in music. ... show more

  • Good value
Color: Natural
Only issue is the outside of the case had some marks on it that couldn’t be cleaned off. Considering the cost it isn’t a big deal.

  • This set is unplayable and came with most pieces missing.
Color: Natural
Package came missing nearly every piece except for the ones vital for playing. No rosin, no muter, no bow straightener (not that I would have used it), and most others. One string was already detached when it arrived, a second detached when I tried tuning it. Sound post also came uninstalled, even though the pamphlet this came with specifically stated that it had been installed before shipping (pamphlet also said that post may have dislodged during shipping, but it came wrapped in two layers have packaging separate from the violin and had clearly never been installed. The sound board was smooth and had virtually no useable notches for strings. The bow was not as bad as I had expected, but was unable to be tightened enough without snapping. This set is unplayable and, oh yeah, they forgot to paint it. This set came with a nice case, scroll, and shoulder rest. A set of six additional strings that will not test for fear of damaging the violin even more. My refund is current let being processed. Beginners, please save up for a playable violin. It doesn’t have to be thousands of dollars, but I would recommend trying something just a little more than $70. ... show more
