I'm not sure how you beat this deal for the hobbyist/home welder. Everything was packaged well with no discernable assembly issues or damage in shipping. All connections were clean and fit perfectly. The gas connections are compression ball type and I had no leaks after proper tightening. Pictured is the first TIG weld out of the box after about 30 minutes of unboxing and setup (1/8" steel, 90A, 110V, 15CFH, 3/32 2% thoriated (red) tungsten, no filler). Not my best effort but I wanted to give it a quick operational test. I was a little apprehensive about the HF start as I am used to our more advanced Miller welders at work with variable foot pedal control. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and controllable the start was with this. Operationally, the only gripe I have is the amperage control could be a little more responsive. It works perfectly fine but reaction time is slow so I find I over-shoot the desired setting by moving the knob too quickly. Materially, I can see needing to upgrade the gas hose and ground clamp at some point, but they are perfectly serviceable out of the box and of adequate length. The only way I see this being a better deal is if it came with a regulator and an assortment of tungsten to make it a RTW kit. That said, I purchased the following to complete the kit and enhance it a bit: YesWelder® Flow Meter Gas Regulator for Argon/CO2 Welding 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrode (Red,WT20) | YesWelder® TIG Welding Electrode (3/32) 22PCS TIG Welding Torch Stubby Gas Lens #10 Pyrex Glass Cup Kit For WP-17/18/26 - (optional - the included cups will work just fine) Time will tell but for my intended use case, occasional repairs and light fabrication, I think this was an excellent choice. ... show more

Great tig machine never went past duty cycle welding for am hour straight machine is ice cold still, 110 stick isn’t good but that’s what’s expected 110 tig I’m at 120 amps and never popped the breaker again an hour straight of welding great duty cycle as well very budget friendly ... show more

OK so they're being very few reviews on this tig 205P I decided that I would enlighten as to what it is you will get and what you will need. So 1st and foremost this is ADC tig. Or a multi process welder. As it does do tig and it does stick. It does come with the electrode holder and the tig gun as well as a general grounding clamp. Tungsten does not come with this and the amperage control footpetal does not come with this either. The tungsten cost anywhere between $8 $20 depending on what you get. And the foot pedal Cost about $90. You will also need an argon tank as it does not come with the argon. You can check your local gas store for prices Or if you do not intend to use it quite frequently purchase your own tank onlineI full.Just make sure that it is at least iso certifiedOr you may have problems getting it filled or exchanged. As there was limited information In the manual If you have never used a tig welder before and are learning about it you may need to check out YouTube videos or Google tig setup. I do recommend purchasing the stubby kit for it as it comes with pyrex cups which aid in visual clarity. I will post a video at a later time to review this specific welder as there is limited info on it and it does quite alot. As compared to the high end miller and esab. One thing important to know. If you plan on using this daily all day everyday, it probably won't last long. But fot the hobbyists or student it should be fine. ... show more

I have been a certified professional welder for over 20 years and own countless welders. This little thing performs amazing, considering the price. I was very sceptical when I bought it but figured what the heck for 200 bucks I cant go wrong if it works. When I unboxed it the cables and stuff are slightly cheap looking but hey, you get what you pay for. I ran a bunch of sample weld set ups starting with stick. I plugged the welder in to my Honda EU 3500 portable generator in the 30A plug. I ran beads on flat plate starting from 30 amps all the way to 100 amps on the welder with no problem! That was the most I could get out of it on the generator, but it is still amazing, considering it runs off of a generator. Then I plugged it into my 220 power off of my miller and ran beads consistently for about an hour perfectly at full power with no problems at all. It is amazing as the unit is so light compared to my other units. I plan to buy another one for 200 bucks and use it when I work in remote locations that do not require heavy ship welds. This thing is awesome; you can't go wrong with the price. I recommend buying it and getting insurance on it. You will be welding in no time, and if anything happens, you can return or replace it. You can buy 12 of these instead of 1 comparable miller. Nuff said ... show more

Looked like may be worth a chance, but not so. Torch would not arc. Not sure if issue with trigger switch or HF module. Also, gas valve in rear would not turn off even once trigger was released. I could hear the gas passing through and the guage on my tank showed was still flowing. If it worked, for the price it would be great. Amazon processed refund for full amount. Pass on this one folks. Pay 2-3 times this much and buy a better unit and get to welding. ... show more
