I bought 10 of these dresses and all 10 are 100% cotton. They wash and dry wonderfully and I haven't had to iron yet. I didn't rate highly on flattering because I don't think they are flattering, but their comfortable-ness outweighs the need to be flattering in my opinion. Mine fit nicely across the shoulders and bust and then billow out from underneath the bust down, but isn't that the way an empire waist garment is supposed to be? None of my dresses require a slip and I wear to work and church. I'm 5'7", 152 lbs and I order a large. I did see one review that said the dress had a lining but none of my 10 has a lining. I gave one star for stretch because this is not a stretchable cotton, and being 100% cotton, there's no spandex to give it a stretch. Think for a cotton handerchief material. I am adding to my review. I still love these dresses, but I don't like the cotton/rayon blend nearly as much as the 100% cotton. The fabric blend isn't nearly as soft as the 100% cotton. Also, the colours in my last 2 dresses aren't as pictured. They are not nearly as bright and are actually kind of dark and drab. Colour Floral 426 has a lot of white and a medium teal in the picture and the actual dress barely has any white, the teal is almost black and there is a really dark forest green in the mix. Foral 438 shows a bright teal and a darker blue-green with what appeared on my screen to be a florally gold. The actual dress has a much darker colour, once again with the colours being dark and drab and the gold is actually a small leopard print. These last 2 dresses are the cotton/rayon blend and they don't have the same lightweight, feathery float that the 100% cotton dresses did. They are still very nice dresses and I have worn them both. I hope they do soften up a bit more with future washings. Their material isn't as smooth as the 100% cotton, and the tag says that their material creates tiny 'bubbles' to add to the flow and lessen the need to iron, and it also says to hang to dry and steam if necessary. ... show more

I had ordered this dress in another color in size large which is my usual size. I had lost around 15 lbs so I decided to order a different color in medium. It fit perfectly! (it does run a little large anyway).. But it is my favorite dress and the real beauty of it is that it can go casual or dressy so I can wear it to any function and be perfectly comfortable!     • Comfortable dress with sleeves a tad too short.
I like this dress! My only complaint is the sleeves. They aren't too tight, but I don't understand why manufacturers always make women's sleeves so short. They almost never go to the right place. These weren't meant to be small cap-sleeves but they are just short enough that they turn out scrunching up in my armpit as I move for a while. Even just another 1/2 inch would have helped. Otherwise, I love the flowy fabric that is light and cool for summer. I also love the colors offered and the length. It's a very comfortable dress for the most part. ... show more

The color and fabric were nice, but it hung like a sack on me. No flow to the bottom tier; not like in the photo. Not flattering on at all for me. I'm 5'8". It might fit some body types

    • Comfortable and cool
This dress is loose and comfortable. I was looking for something cotton since we get triple digits in the summer and this cotton/rayon blend will be great. The fabric is lightweight but not see-through and it has side pockets, which is always a bonus in a dress! Amazon suggested I buy a large, even though I normally wear a medium, so I ordered both sizes and the medium is plenty big, so I would suggest ordering the size you normally wear, even if Amazon suggests otherwise. I am not sure how well it will hold up after washing. To be on the safe side, I'll hang dry. If there is an issue, I'll update my review, but for now, I'm pleased and plan to get a lot of wear out of this dress. ... show more

Shopping online has always been hit and miss for me. But I found this company and I took a chance and ordered one of these dresses and I am in love! I’ve actually ordered three more in different colors. I did purchase this in a medium and I am about a size medium. This dress is fantastic for wearing during the summer since it is lightweight. It does not cling to your body. It’s very flowy and hides the parts of my body that I don’t want people to see since I have gained some weight. The quality is good. Just follow the instructions when you wash it. I recommend these for any woman that lives in a hot climate and who doesn’t wanna expose too much of her body. I live in the tropics and thanks to global warming it is really, really hot nowadays. I wear these almost everyday (I have multiple colours). Whilst they are cool and comfortable, the fabric pretty much looks rumpled all the time, so I would not use them to go out anywhere. The material is a very lightweight cotton, so very breathable.
