I would mainly suggest this for a young beginner that can’t afford an expensive instrument. I’m very impressed by the violin it actually tunes properly and can be played, the bow also works pretty well. Compared to my 4000$ violin it’s definitely worth 60

So far all is working well but the strings that come with are weak, g was so bad off at first it wouldn't even show on my tuner then snapped before it ever hit g, replacement string that came with worked for that issue, a string was reading as d snapped before hitting a, same with the replacement string that came with so now I have no a string and have to wait for replacement before I can start learning how to play the violin ... show more

Picked this up as my little one decided she wanted to learn how to play a violine. Kids being kids I was hesitant to spend a lot of money for something they'd quickly lose interest in and so I stumbled on this violine and it surprised me overall on how nice it is. Not being a musician by any means I did sign the girls up for music lessons and the teacher went over it with them and she noted it was a rather nice violine for the cost given what she's seen students bring in the past. So far its a win but, kids being kids, summer came and right now its not the most used item in the house, but hope remains. ... show more

I don't feel like this is a great quality violin. It feels cheap. I could not get it to tune correctly despite trying it several times and going through all the steps. It does come with everything you need and has a pretty case, but I just don't feel like this is a quality instrument and because of that, I couldn't play correctly with it. Was very excited to get this in the mail. However, when my wife tried to set it up, she couldn't figure out how to install the bridge. When she checked the instructions, they were vague, and since she never played a stringed instrument, she did it wrong. She tried to undo the strings, which popped them out of place and now won't go back into the pin. Now, it's just sitting in its case until I can get around to either restringing it. That being said, if you watch a YouTube video on violin setups (or maybe wait for your partner who has played stringed instruments for 20 years to get home and set it up . . . ) it's a very nice kit. ... show more

This is a good student violin. I played the Viola for six years and was in the orchard. I wanted to teach my son violin, but I knew he was probably not invested as much. If you change the strings and consult with a luthier you should be able to get even this violin with good sounds and a great beginner instrument. ... show more

This YASISID Violin is an absolutely gorgeous piece. Comes in a nice case with cloths to keep the instrument clean. Came with charts, rosin and extra strings. It, also, came with a shoulder rest.
