  • Does the job
Pattern Name: Stand
Serves the basic purpose but not great. This stand is adjustable but you have to take the keyboard off to adjust it. It has 5 different heights - 25.5 inches, 30 inches, 33.75 inches, 36.25 inches, and 38.5 inches. I included photos for the tallest, second tallest, and lowest points. As you might be able to tell, I would be wary of using at the tallest and second tallest heights since seems like it wouldn’t balance so well since the bars are so close together. I use it at the lowest height. The instructions were clearly wrong or for a different product. There was a piece that was considered two pieces in the instructions but they were already attached. Also the instructions had listed several items that didn’t come in the box, and weren’t actually needed. But, once I visualized how it was supposed to look, was fairly easy to put together. ... show more

  • Despite some reviews, this is a bargain if you know what you are doing.
Pattern Name: Stand
I concede that the assembly photos are strange, but anyone with a bit of mechanical ability can assemble this unit. I bought it for my new Yamaha PSR-E373, a relatively heavy keyboard, and this stand is rock solid and does not move at all under heavy "key attack". Just look at the assembled photo and use your brain to dictate the assembly process. The screws are shipped in their respective holes to avoid loss in transit. The finish and quality of the materials is fine. Remember, it is loose torque that allows movement , so don't stop tightening when the screws become barely hard to turn--add a couple of more twists. You'll love it. ... show more

  • Great stand for my Yamaha PSR-E273
Pattern Name: Stand
First of all, it is not a Yamaha stand. Second, it is less than half price of a Yahama. Third, it comes with 6 pieces to put together, very easy, no instructions needed. Received mine today, got home from work at 6:30, took care of my dogs, walked and fed them, then started putting stand together. At 6:58 , the picture was taken. There is a very slight wobble, but barely noticeable. It comes with a small tool for the bolts and an Allen wrench to attach the feet and supports under keyboard. For $30, it’s perfect. ... show more

  • Good basic stand. Here's some assembly help.
Pattern Name: Stand
The roughly three and a half stars this stand gets is about right. Pros: - Lightweight and portable. Folds easily. - Relatively sturdy. - Can be assembled either for standing use or sitting use. (See note #7 below.) Cons: - The keyboard just sits on top, so it can slide around easily. - The shorter top bars have bumpers which can be moved back and forth, and may work to provide a bit of sliding prevention for some keyboards if used not under, but against the keyboard. In our case the back bumper hit a screw before it hit the bottom edge of the keyboard. The bumpers are hard plastic and make the keyboard slide even more if they are positioned under the keyboard, so they are worse than useless when positioned under the keyboard. (Wrapping the bumpers with some rubber anti-skid material might help.) - The height adjustment is not fine enough for sitting. My son finds one setting to high and the next too low. Comments that might help with assembly: The unit comes with a drawing showing how to attach end pieces (top and bottom cross bars) to the "X" braces. The X brace with the adjustment mechanism came assembled, the other did not. 1. In addition to the allen wrench ("L" shaped six sided tool), you will need a wrench or pliers to connect/tighten the center of the X braces. 2. The X braces are held together by a bolt which has a squared section under the head. This goes into the side of one of the arms (bars) used to make the X which has a square hole in it. The other holes are round - put the bolt in the hole which is square. 3. The X braces have two washers. One goes between the two arms of the X, and one goes between one of the arms (bars) and the nut. 4. Don't over tighten the X brace nuts, as you will damage the bars. The bolts are supplied with locking nuts, so they won't come off. Don't tighten past where the end of the bolt is about flush with the end of the nut. 5. There are two shorter horizontal bars for the top and two longer horizontal bars for the bottom. If you look at them carefully, you will see that one of each has holes in it which are more widely spaced, and one has them more narrowly spaced. The horizontal bars with the same hole spacing go opposite of each other on the "X". In the drawing, the ones with more widely spaced holes go on the top right and the bottom left of the X (with the height adjustment mechanism facing you), and the ones with more narrowly spaced holes go on the top left and bottom right of the X. 6. The double X bars need to be positioned so that the inner bars are parallel. You are working with two sets of bars which each form an X. - put the X with the adjustment mechanism facing you, with the half-round part with holes in it to the top right. This will put the back part of this X going top left to bottom right. That is, the back bar of the front X will look like this: \ and the front bar of of the front X (where the adjustment knob is) will look like: / - The back X needs to be set so that the bar which is on the inside (closest to the front X) goes top left to top right. So the bar closest to you on the back X will look like: \ and the back bar of the back X will look like: /. - If this is not the case, you need to swing the two bars of the back X past each other so you can position it with the inner bar top left to top right. 7. The drawing shows the stand assembled for standing use. If you want to use it for sitting use, rotate the drawing 90 degrees to the right, then reverse the positions of the longer horizontal bar at the top left and the shorter horizontal bar at the bottom right. ... show more
