I specifically wanted a gold metal bed for a vintage look and this one was the perfect price! I was pleasantly surprised that it was great quality and the color is beautiful! (I purchased matching gold curtain rods and omg!) The assembly was so easy!! And they have the hardware labeled well with very clear instructions. The instructions call for 2 people to put it together... and yeah, it probably would have been easier to do with someone helping, but I put it together all by myself and I'm a plus sized 40 something with bad knees.. so... You got dis! And it's the sturdiest bed I've ever owned! I've had about two bed frames in my adult life. One was brand new and the other was a hand-me-down, but neither of them were near as sturdy as this bed. Like I said, I'm plus size and sturdiness of my bed is essential. This thing doesn't budge. There's no squeaking, no loose bars, etc. And it definitely fits the vintage aesthetic. I highly recommend to anyone who is going for this look in their bedroom! ... show more

I cannot say enough great things about this bedframe! It is very sturdy and I love how it looks. I thought from the description that it would not need a boxspring but it definitely does if you have a memory foam or hybrid mattress. We got plywood to put under the mattress for now. It does not make a single sound, NO squeaks!!!! It was very easy to build but you will definitely need a 2nd person - we got a king so it is very large! Took my boyfriend and I a little over an hour to put it together! I also love how tall the frame is! Great for storage ... show more

I bought this for my son’s bedroom in a full size black. It has to be put together and the directions are pretty important also it has a weight limit on it so make sure you read that before you buy it. My son and I put it together it was very easy he’s 10 and he got one side while I got the other side. The poles that are used for slates fit perfect and are very snug fitting. I have laid on the bed my son has laid on the bed it’s very sturdy and very pretty. The only complaint I have is the middle part that holds the bed is out a little to far and yes I have hit my toes every time I’m making the bed so investing in a pool noodle for it will probably be a toe saver. For the money hard to beat. Looks nice and it’s sturdy. Starting with the box, it’s 100 pounds. I’m a 58yo man it it was a tough slug. Some may wish to carry the 50 pieces individually. It was super packaged. Each of the 50 pieces were in plastic and all of the pieces were connected with zip ties. It took an hour to unpack and unwrap. The instructions were clear and easy to use. I believe that I counted 78 fasteners each to be hand tightened with the supplied tools. I wish that the tools were larger so that I could get more leverage in tightening. My hands are sore. Total assembly time for me was about 3.5 hours and it’s all on the floor work with lots of bending. I was pleased that extra fasteners were included. There was a small scratch on the footboard but you would have to look hard to see it and I’m not bothered by the scratch. ... show more

Was skeptical initially since so many frames are flimsy and end up rocking somehow. This is structured not to move and it is strong and sturdy. Love the look, it looks vintage. It is a bronze color. The bed is super super sturdy. The assembly was easy and instructions were clear. No damage to bed at all. No missing pieces. It is also a great height for getting in and our of bed. I'm 5'4. Plenty of height for under bed storage as well.

The instructions were super easy to follow. I put it together with one other person and it took about an hour. Once it was put together it was very sturdy and lightweight at the same time, so it was easy to pick up or push around my room until I found a spot that I liked best for it.
