  • Versatile, portable and easy to use!
Size: P1
The media could not be loaded. The Xvive P1 does exactly what's it's supposed to do, which is provide phantom power to your audio devices. It's really useful for anyone who wants to plug their XLR condenser microphone straight into their camera, because DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras typically don't provide phantom power. And you can even plug a dynamic mic straight into your camera and get great sound when you combine the P1 with a Cloudlifter or other in-line preamps. As you'll see in the video, it sounds great! The claim on 40 hours of battery life seems to be legit so far. I haven't used it for 40 hours straight yet, but I have for around 10 hours and the LED battery indicator hasn't even dipped on light yet. The design is great - very small footprint and built very tough with its all metal chassis. At only $50, you can't go wrong buying this and carrying it with you everywhere if you're a video and/or audio professional. ... show more

  • Awesome!

Bought this to power the sE condenser mic that I purchased simultaneously. Man I wish they had these back in the day. Metal housing, very well made. Nice small footprint that sits right on top of the mic stand base & takes up no room in my gig bag. I've used it twice now for maybe 4 hours total and its still showing a full charge! We shall see how it holds up in the long run but so far very happy! ... show more

  • Works Great!
Size: P1
I bought two of these for a stereo mic setup with my GoPro. The GoPro is supposed to be able to deliver phantom power to the mics, but it turns out to be only 2.61 VDC. That is not enough for the vast majority of high-quality mics , which mostly require 48 VDC. These things charged right up, and perform exactly as advertised. Sound quality of the mic is not degraded at all and batteries seem to run forever. My one and only negative comment is that the blue LEDs are really bright and probably account for much of the battery consumption. On the plus side, you will always know where these things are! Don't forget you will need another (short) XLR male-to-female mic cable to use these. You cannot mechanically connect them directly to either a microphone or a recording device because of the way the XLR connectors are mounted in them. It's not the manufacturer's fault, it's just the nature of the beast. Built like a tank and highly recommended. ... show more

  • Not cheap but performs well.
Size: P1
You never know what you're going to get sometimes with Amazon, but this one did not disappoint. Internal battery delivered 10hrs of phantom (48v) without blinking. The box was used on a live stage environment and I was definitely worried how it might hold up to getting knocked around. This box is sturdy. The On/Off and 12v/48v switches protrude slightly so they could get some damage if the box were stepped on, crushed, or kicked. The 12v T power is a cool feature to have access to - like a security blanket. I can't imagine needing it but, if for some reason I needed to power a mic that needed it, now I've got a way to do it. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Size: P1
We all click blindly on this stuff and hope it is as described. This is one of the good ones. Very well made. Not cheap plastic. Nice heavy feel. small enough that it doesn't get in the way. Works great. It came fully charged and with a usb charging cable. No surprises. The sound quality of running a lapel condenser mic through it is perfect. Also a stand mic. No noise I can hear at all, even at volume. For those looking for a good way to use a condenser mic in a busking situation, my case a Roland cube, this works perfect. Buy with confidence, two thumbs up. If anyone at the company reads this....good job. Somebody is taking pride in what they do. ... show more

  • It Work's as stated in ad.

A MUST! to have in any AV/DJ/Sound Technician tools. I test these with JBL EON's speaker which don't provide phantom power, along with Condenser Mic's (Behringer B5) and a PZM Mic (Crown PCC170) It did work RIGHT OUT THE BOX! with NO issues whatsoever. Yes! my 1st shot success was because I did something special that normally people refuse to do. "Read the manual" before you touch anything..even if you think you know it all. Also, I did another special thing "I test the XLR "balance " cables with a tester that by the way I make sure the batteries were good and all testing went just PERFECT. I can't say about extended battery life, but i did try for 3 hours an no issues at all. Oh by the way, no audio, bad sound, noises issues at all. Yeup! I did another special thing . I ensure that I am using the correct cable to the correct in/out jacks.Using the wrong cable for interconnecting audio equipment will cause problem. You must know which type of cables and connectors you really need. Re: balance, unbalance, quasi-balance cables and stereo, mono plugs including inserts cables and those knock off connectors that are soldered with elmers glue :)) etc Thank You ... show more

  • Just what I needed.
Size: P1
Being new to podcasting, I bought an audio-technica podcasting starter kit that came with a microphone and headphones. Simple enough, I thought. I had previously purchased a soundboard and was hoping to hook this right up and get it going. One problem (I should have read the box), the worker at Ted brown music failed to inform me I would need phantom power, which my soundboard does not supply. So, after a long afternoon of research, I found this device to be the perfect solution. Great reviews, and lots of videos to support the reviews. So I purchased one. It showed up the next day, and I was all ready to go! So simple to use and came fully charged. Great product, 10/10 would recommend! ... show more
