My son purchased a Xpower Blower years ago as he works on computers and didn’t like the idea of buying canned air due to the incredible amount of waste associated with using the disposable cans. His blower has proven itself to be much more reliable than canned air and it delivers a strong, steady airflow without the issues of freezing and condensation. I too found it to be extremely handy and versatile in a variety of instances and after borrowing his on a regular basis, I recently purchased one as well because I needed it on a construction job site as I found it is much easier to have this blower in my cut area down stairs from my compressor. I use mine to blow sawdust off my miter and table saws before I secure my equipment inside the home I am remodeling at night. With its two airspeeds, 10ft cord and attachments, we both find these blowers to be extremely versatile and useful and very satisfying to have unlimited compressed air at our disposal without throwing away a can or rolling up an air hose when we’re done. This is a well-made, reliable and powerful blower, all in a small, compact, portable package. I needed a vacuum that wasn't as heavy and bulky as my old Eureka EasyClean Handheld 71B that I bought almost a decade ago from Amazon. It's "lightweight" but it was still rather unwieldy to use and the long cord length was irritating. Some of you may like it, but I don't. I also was getting tired of buying cans of compressed air. Friend of mine recommended XPower's A-2 Airrow, but I also wanted something small and compact that can vacuum small spaces. That's when I found this A-5 model. The A-5 is basically the A-2 but with vacuuming capability and higher horsepower. In direct response to a review from August 2018 about the instructions, I did not have much difficulty interpreting them. I knew the default mode of the thing was blower, and that "Vacuum Operation" had to be followed if you wanted to put it in vacuum mode. Took maybe 5 minutes at most to figure out in order to configure for that mode you have to pull the foam filter and the tiny center-cross piece (comes right off, no screwing/unscrewing required). The vacuum is powerful - it picks up things this old Eureka can't and is perfect for vacuuming nooks and crannys your big upright vacuum or even that handvac can't reach with its attachments. Its sheer portability is the best part. I personally like the cord being 5' - I hate managing long cords as I'll be next to a power source anyway when I'm using this on my machine. Comes with a good number of attachments, and the hose is reasonably sized for a short job. The key here is to think of this as like a handvac with a hose attachment rather than a traditional giant vacuum with a hose that is 15' long like another review was complaining about. With that cleared up, on setting I just like the Airrow the output CFM of the thing is insane. It was spinning my case fans like crazy and it was basically like a hurricane rampaging through my case throwing around all these dust bunnies. The vacuum provides enough suction to pick up little bits and pieces a handvac would miss. And yes, this thing is bloody loud, and its initial start will have a funky odor (it lasts for maybe 1 or 2 seconds before it dissipates). Comes with a spiffy nylon bag to hold all your attachments in the zipper and the hose in the big pocket in the back when not in use. Very glad that I got this, I will never have to buy a can of compressed air again. ... show more
