Well so far it's been about 3 months and I've taken about 50 bike rides with this seat with no sign of wear or problems with it. Other reviews have talked about how the seat rocks side to side. I weigh about 240 pounds and any rocking is very slight, especially considering the width of the seat that the center post must support. I don't think there is any way to engineer a seat that would not flex slightly given the width of the seat and the amount of weight in motion that is put upon it. There is nothing loose about the seat when riding. Any rocking I have experienced has been a very slight flex of the thick plastic material the base of the seat is made from. This is very slight and I feel very secure when riding my bike. I don't think there would be a way to engineer any seat this wide to be rock solid and unmoveable. ... show more

"Wider seat for a wider seat". I like the seat. It curves to my buns and isn't hard. Honestly, I don't know how people whether big rumped or not can ride for prolonged periods of time on a hardened seat like most standard bike saddles. This is NOT this seat! This thing is soft and comfy and supportive in the right places (southwardly speaking). I'm glad I made the purchase. Anyone will be also if they've got it goin' on down under. One of the advantages of an electric bike is that it is much easier (and enticing) to go a longer distance. Bad news is that just ‘cause it is kinder to the legs, that doesn’t mean it is easier on the rump…and now you are on the seat even longer! My first ride after getting this Mega Plus X Wing Oversized Comfort Bike Seat was my furthest so far: More than 20 miles round trip. However, not only was it my longest, it was my most comfortable. This seat did exactly what I hoped it would, and I am already very happy I purchased it. One nice side effect is that it also lifted me up a bit higher, so that my legs extend a bit more. (At 6’3”, the existing post was just slightly too short.) Big thumbs up to this product. ... show more
