This is a really great unit. I would recommend it for anybody that a drill press. The two different length tubes make it usable for just about any drill press table height. Only down side of it is the hose that you connect to the unit. I had an expandable one that I used with my old "Home Made" unit, I attached it to this one and when I turned on the vacuum the expandable hose shrunk back to the original length, rotating the sucker end up. The media could not be loaded. This contraption does work better than my previous attempt. The included 2 sizes band clamps didn’t fit my floor standing Laguna drill press so I Inserted a “shim” for the 4” clamp. Also the dust elbow fitting didn’t fit the ridgid vac (same as Dewalt’s) so I just inserted the tube into the vac hose and used some tape. Of course one can make something similar but this was quick and i like that i can adjust the suction tip location easily. I am not sure why most drilling press table’s fences don't come with a connection hole to a vac hose similar to router table fences. I have noticed that the expensive red brand does have this type of vac hose connection to the fence but my drill press table is serviceable enough as it is so this solution should suffice at this point. ... show more

Really helps control the dust at the drill press like that it is so adjustable in and out up and down a good tool.

Overall, it is well-made. Installation is not difficult, either. However, suction is, at best, not what I expected. I had been using a Cen-Tec 1 1/4" hose with a simple conical attachment. It worked great. The only problem was holding it in place while drilling. This connector reduced the air flow to the point where it didn't pull enough chips or dust to make it worth even hooking it up. I'm going to experiment with it. Possibly using larger tubing or modifying it to hold the 1 1/4" Cen-Tec hose instead of the clear plastic tube that came with it. The shop vac is a powerful Bosh HEPA unit that has excelled at everything that I have thrown at it, except for this collector. ... show more

My husband says," This is a great device for the drill press. I wish I'd had one of these years ago. Every time you change your drill settings, you have to re-align the vacuum attachment but that's to be expected I guess. I'm happy that I got it."

    • Neither 2" or 4" clamps worked
4" Clamps were too short of tightening around my drill presses main column and the 2" clamps were too short of connecting. My drill press needed 3" clamps that tightened 100%.
