The night vision is better than my Google Home camera. I can't believe this camera was so cheap considering the great quality. The functionality and features are so easy to navigate, not too much of a learning curve. Set up was a breeze. The Wi-Fi connectivity worked seamlessly and when I'm out and about during the day I have no problems checking in to my phone to see the camera at home, so the range is great. It records everything in the events section, very easy to navigate. It's about 2 seconds in lag time when viewing in real time but that's not really a big deal. I have it set up in my kitchen window pointing to the backyard (picture is with night vision) and there is no glare from the window. It looks like the camera is outdoors. I like the little green square that follows an animal or person in my backyard. Great pickup on detection. My phone alerts me when anyone is seen on my backyard. The camera also says, "you are being recorded" when it detects movement in the backyard. It can be turned off but I like it. It also has a spot light that turns on when detection is seen(I have it off) but it would be great if I had it outdoors. I would need to get a different cord if I had it outdoors but I'll probably do that if I move. I was going to get an SD card but decided to just do the $2.99 a month plan to keep the recordings. One of its standout features is the exceptional night vision, which delivers crisp and detailed footage even without the aid of LED lights. This capability ensures clear visuals in total darkness, setting it apart from many competitors. Additionally, the updated user interface is notably faster and more responsive than older models, making setup and navigation much smoother. These improvements enhance the overall user experience and reinforce Wyze's reputation for delivering high-quality yet affordable security solutions. However, a few considerations come with the upgraded resolution. While the 2K clarity is a significant improvement over 1080p cameras, it does consume more storage space, meaning you'll likely need a larger SD card for continuous recording. I currently use a 64GB card, but I would recommend opting for a higher capacity to accommodate the increased data usage. I have six of these cameras are around my house and for the most part they’re very good. Their night vision is excellent if you have the spotlight come on it lights adequately for the camera. But it will not replace your outdoor lights. (not why I bought this version) Set up is very easy. You download the Wyze app and they connect flawlessly. My biggest disappointment with these cameras is that out of the six, two of them will disconnect periodically. I believe it is when the temperature gets below 10° but I have not proven that yet. I contacted Wyze customer service and they basically said all I can do is unplug them and plug them back in. I was expecting since I have six of these and six of the V3’s plus a subscription that they would just send me two new cameras. Nothing like that at all. The only thing wyze customer service gave me was the operating range of -4°F to 122°F… I still give it four stars because the cameras do work very well and record 24/7. ... show more

Over the years we've had many Wyze cams, going back to the originals. As new versions are released we have upgraded cams here and there, but this one is easily the biggest and most impressive upgrade yet. First of all the clarity of the picture with the 2.5k resolution is fantastic. I can see the individual leaves blowing or the snowflakes when its snowing. Its fantastic. The most important feature for me though is the wifi radio. It is far and away more stable in the v4s. We have two cameras pointing at our back yard so I can keep an eye on my dog while I work and he's outside, and with the v3s it was constantly dropping signal. (The cameras are mounted on the outside of our house, about 20 ft from the Ubiquiti AP, but through an exterior wall and one interior wall.) The v4s are amazingly stable. It rarely drops signal and the video is smooth and excellent. We plan to upgrade all of our cams to the v4s just because of how big of an upgrade they are (and some of our cams are still v1s). If you're looking for a great but inexpensive camera, or if you're just looking to upgrade an existing Wyze cam, you won't be disappointed. These little things are phenomenal. ... show more
