We bought this for my son who just came back from summer camp. He was excited to whittle a stick that he found at camp. What I really like about this kit is the gloves that help me to feel like my son won't cut himself. The variety of tools are great and the instructions are good enough. Some of the comments say that there aren't enough instructions, which is kinda true, but kids won't read a book on whittling. A few Youtube videos did the job.
