  • Nice fabric, waterproof, but a bit heavy

  • packable light shell
I was looking for a breathable, waterproof rain jacket with some tailoring that could pack into its own pocket. I wanted an adjustable hood (because I hate those stupid hoods with the visor part that ends up covering my eyes), and a length that wasn't too short. I found it all with this jacket. I'm 5' 3'' and under 100 lbs, and the XS fits me perfectly. The material isn't too stiff and noisy, and the jacket is light enough to pack easily into a daypack for hiking, take on a boat trip, etc. It's perfect for warmer, wet conditions. I specifically bought it as a summer/spring rain jacket because it's so light and unlined. I love the pink/purple color, too. Overall, very pleased with the quality and details of the jacket. ... show more

  • Runs small - good value for price
I'm 5'3", 130 lbs, 32 DD...had to return the small and size up to medium. But the medium has plenty of room to accommodate wearing winter layers. It's replacing a Columbia rain jacket I had for many years. Amazon easy return policy made the exchange relatively pain free.

  • Adjustable hood
Size: Small Color: Victory Red
Marmot has the only hood that I can adjust to properly fit,. Other hoods fall over my eyes and are very uncomfortable.

  • Sólo una queja
Compré hace 2 años el mismo modelo y talla. Esta vez cambió un poco el modelo y lo que no me gustó fue que la talla viene más reducida.

  • Kept me dry!!
Size: XX-Large Color: Arctic Navy
I wore this jacket for the first time on a very rainy hike in Alaska. Everything protected by the jacket stayed dry! I would recommend a fleece under if the weather is cold. The jacket was slighty snug on me but the sizing is accurate. 😉

  • Women's Precip Eco Jacket - beware of skinny sleeves
Size: Large Color: Arctic Navy
The jacket seems to be of decent quality but the sleeves are too skinny for layering underneath, as is the feminine cut at the waist. If you are model thin, this would be a good jacket for you. I am 5'3", 128lbs, evenly proportioned, slender, toned and just a little muscular. The medium was impossible to layer a thin fleece under and bend the elbows comfortably. And the cut of the feminine waist with a thin fleece underneath made getting into the pockets uncomfortable. The large was a little better but the sleeves were still too skinny for comfort in bending at the elbow, and that's with a thin fleece not thick. Why are all the major outdoor brands catering to models now instead of athletic women who hike and backpack? They used to. What happened?? I'm not talking about just this jacket but also technical jackets for those specific purposes. I'll give it 2 stars because it seems to be good quality but I don't know how it performs because I returned both. ... show more
