I was so glad I took this on my trip to Europe. When I used the hood, it was great to have a part of the hood that was clear. I could see when it was raining really hard. It was an advantage over the other people that had regular poncho type rain gear and the rain was falling in their faces. If you wear a ball cap with it you will have extra added strength. I would recommend that you use the snaps that are provided on the sides. Not doing so will cause you to get really wet if it rains hard. I didn't use them as I was trying to make sure I could get my arms out easier and quickly while taking pictures. I kept my camera under the raincoat in between shots and it worked perfect. My camera stayed dry. The raincoat is perfect in length for women. It repelled the water great and the water shook off quickly once I was able to get inside a building. Once inside and was able to take it off, it wiped off with no problem and dried quickly. The raincoat is made of a good material and I loved the design, but wish they had more designs to choose from. First, the package containing this raincoat arrived the day before the rain---very happy about that! This raincoat is roomy in a positive way--I planned on wearing it over my work blazer or jacket----and my plan turned out perfectly. I wouldn't fret so much about the fact that this is somewhat large---that's OK. I'm petite but the size is just right for me. Great poncho. One nitpick is the visor and hood slide back off my head a lot unless I cinch it tightly, but it’s great otherwise and I’ve even gotten compliments on the style.

Great find! It's a little boxy/ wide but thats the way it goes if you're small. Otherwise, it seems to be well made, nice detail, and it's the perfect hybrid between a raincoat and poncho; which was exactly what I was looking for. It's lightweight, goes over anything, fully waterproof (so far), cheap, and lightweight enough to travel with (comes with it's own bag too). I purchased this poncho for my trip to disney world, where it always rains. The fit was perfect and the visor was extremely helpful. I received many compliments. It came with a pouch and was easy to fold when I didn't need to wear it. This is by far the best poncho I have ever purchased.

I'm petite and needed something that fit over my clothes to keep me dry without tripping me. This works great. It is light weight and goes right to my hands without being too long. It also covers my jeans to below the knees. It's more of a poncho than a coat, but it does snap under the arms to keep it in place. I recommend being careful when you unsnap it because it is made of plastic and the snaps could cause tearing if you pull hard on them. ... show more

The quality of the poncho ia good, but is way too big. I was looking for a women poncho so it could fit better than buying an unisex one and look better in my next trip. Unfortunately the size I received is XL and is not flattering at all.

Docking one star since one side snap already busted on second use, but I got this for trips to New Orleans and NYC. This was great during downpours, even on open top tour busses.
