First of all, I am fairly tall. In my younger years, I had to sew all of my pants because those that I sought in the stores were always too short. Not only do these have the wider legs, but they have the longer length; actually, longer than I need, but I turn them up four inches and hem them by hand, then turn them halfway to form a cuff which I tack down at the seams. I have had so many compliments on my wide-legged, cuffed pants which, to many of my generation, are reminiscent of those we wore in the 1970s--and, those, too, were very comfortable. They go very well with the current tunic tops and platform shoes--also staples of the 1970s fashion look. (Larger ladies, like myself, do not always look good in skin-tight jeans or leggings, in my casual observance.) Appreciated, too, are the deep pockets, because I have large hands; seldom do women's pants have deep enough pockets for holding things like keys and cell phones without them falling out, or for the colder months. I am delighted by the color choices, and await the comeback (hopefully) of the fall and winter jewel tones such as red, purple, and dark green which were featured before. Very comfortable wide leg jeans with elastic waist band. Sizing is perfect. Order your normal size. Color of the stonewashed denim is darker than online picture, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. I have wanted a wide leg pant for years, but trend has been for narrow or skin tight leggings. I need to wear a leg brace so these jeans are perfect. I am ordering second pair. ... show more

    • Pleasantly surprised these feel so good.
As a plus sized woman needing a petite length, this was perfect. As to the sizing. I ordered both the 22 WP and the 20 WP because Chic jeans fit me in thier 20WP size but other brands it is hit or miss. It is the 22WP that is the best fit for me on this one. If I have any slightly negative comment it is that the waist at the back feels a hair too shortand feels like it wants to creep down... though it does not move. If I would get busy and lose 5# that would not be an issue. As it is, I always wear a long blouse or tee to cover things so truly is not an issue. One other is NO pockets. But these are so comfortable They do not bind and the wider legs means they do not mold themselves to me either standing or walking. And will be ordering other colors. ... show more

Ordered 16W, 2017 lbs, 5'7" tall. Carry most of weight in belly so the 16W waist fit perfectly, however leg width is too wide, since I sew, will take the legs in from upper thigh down over 1" on each leg. Otherwise color and fit at waist and hip AWESOME!
