Fits 11 inch viola. Only thing I wish were a little different.... wish the screws on the legs were a little longer so that you could apply the chin rest loosely and then tighten the screws. B/c the screws are not very long , you have to push with gentle but firm constant pressure to get the chin rest on. Then tighten. Otherwise, works like a charm. With my son's first chin rest, my son was having discomfort where the legs of the chinrest are. He was also complaining of jaw pain because the chin rest surface rises up along the right side of the chin rest. Because the Wittner's chin rest surface is flat, he no longer has jaw pain. And because the Wittner's chin rest legs are different, he no longer has pain. We also learned from the store owner that if you bring the shoulder rest closer to the top of the viola/violin, then the legs of the chin rest won't rest up against your neck. Overall great buying experience and good product. Coming from a violinist (myself) who had issues with his own chin rest growing up, probably best chin rest I've seen so far. ... show more
