I am not sure how some people that bought this screen can say it offers no privacy and is pretty see-through. IT IS NOT! Total privacy, can not see thru it, went on very nicely, and all the zip ties were perfect. Many people indicated the zip ties broke and/or was cheap. Not the ones that came with mine. I will say they were not the thick, heavy zip ties, but they worked just fine. Could not be more pleased. I bought the beige color and it goes very nice on the fence without being intrusive on the eye. PERHAPS the color has something to do with being a good choice for privacy? I don't know, but I do know this one offers excellent privacy. Again, I kept going back and looking for it to be too transparent but no matter how far I stood back, I could NOT see thru this and I would recommend this product without hesitation. I bought this to help block my neighbors' dogs from seeing anything in my yard. They bark at me or any animal in my yard. Unfortunately, the screen is still transparent enough to see through and it does not block the view. For full privacy I recommend going full screen with no transparency. I may buy the full and switch it out for the section that this covers facing the yard with the dogs. It looks nice, just doesn't do what I needed. ... show more

We adopted a pretty reactive dog, and was being a stinker every time he and the neighbors' dogs happened to be out at the same time. He would stick his nose into the fence and bark until we would pick him up and carry him in, scraping up his muzzle in the process. We put this up and it has made a world of difference. I’ve had this installed on my fence about a week now and it’s helped me so much to get sleep at night again! My new neighbors have two dogs that kept barking all hours of the night, for hours on end. Our yard is massive and they were likely seeing critters through our shared fence. While I was installing it, other neighbors came and told me they hoped it helps because they’ve been up all night too. Happy to report that the dogs barking is waaaaay down and the neighborhood can sleep again thanks to this thing! It took me about 35 minutes to get up with the help of one extra set of hands. Very straightforward directions. I got it in black because I figured it would be the least opaque. It’s stormed a few times and it’s held up fine so far. I live in north Texas and have had this since the end of January first of February on a North facing fence. It's now August and still looks brand new. The grommets are like new also. I used larger zip ties to hold them in place but it's held up way better than expected. You can see through it when covered in shade and I know others can see through it from the other side at night. But during the day you can barely see out or in if you concentrate hard. The thickness is perfect. And with the wind, it's surprisingly sturdy. Would definitely buy again! ... show more

My main reason for purchasing the screen was for the privacy. I was very disappointed. Screen does not offer the 90% privacy advertised. You can see right through it. It is more like 10% privacy. Although the screen looks professionally made, the brass grommets were not evenly spaced. The screen was placed at the back of my black iron fence but because of the grommet spacings, it was not possible to obtain a tight fit at the top since I had to work with putting the ties where the grommets are affixed. The result is that there are sags in two places on a 29 ft. length custom-made screen. (The bottom does not matter as much as that portion is not easily seen.) The look is tolerable but I would prefer that there were no sags which could have been achieved if the grommets were evenly spaced. Also, it would be nice to receive ties with the screen since the screen is no good without the ties. If needs be, add an extra cost and include the ties. The customer has to spend extra to purchase the ties anyway. It is a great inconvenience to have to wait to order and receive ties before installing the screen. By the way, I purchased heavy duty 10" ties which gave me the perfect length with which to work and I have the option to cut the extra (or not) after the installation. ... show more
