They help up really well! I had some friends who bought some other ones off of amazing and some of their links ended up breaking or not fitting well, and we had to repair them a few times on our last hike. These fit great with me on both my pairs of boots, and they were super strong. Didn’t have any issues with them breaking, and they were used for repelling on large rocky cliffs, used on very icy rocks on the trail, on a frozen lake, and in the snow and never had an issue at all!! Very simple and great product. The blades were great and didn’t affect my walking or balance at all yet they also had amazing traction even on uneven frozen terrain. These beauties are a lifesaver! They are extremely well made and come with a nice travel bag. The only downside is that the included velcro straps aren't long enough to fit across your foot unless you have a children's shoe. This isn't a big deal as the rubber keeps them on your shoes without fear of them slipping off. I keep a pair of these in the car during the winter months. ... show more

I have used my expensive Katoola micro spikes for a number of years with only one breaking (the rubber part that fits over the shoe). These are less that ⅓ the price so I had to try them. I compared them and found that the fit is the exact same and this pair weigh only 0.03 oz more than the $75 Katoola brand. The teeth or micro spikes are just a little longer on this brand which can be a good thing in very icy hiking conditions. The metal chains are made of thinner metal than the Katoolas (see photos). I would not hesitate to wear these on a hike in icy conditions but I don't know how long they might hold up. The price is certainly right. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These work great in slippery mud as well as ice and snow. Second best item I bought last year. I'm heading towards 70 years of age and I have fallen several times in the mud in our duck area. I have utter confidence when I wear these snow spikes. The only down size is the heel teeth seem to shift to the right outside. Need to adjust each time I use. Highly recommend these spikes, the price was really good and I got large to fit my size 9.5 snow boots. They even fit my size 8.5 garden shoes. Five stars all the way! ... show more
