  • Best sport sunglasses ever used
I will try to be as objective as possible. I have been an Oakley user for the last 10 years but, when you observed that the product quality is decreasing and costumer service is as poor as it can gets then, I think is time to move on. And what a way I chose to move on. These sunglasses are amazing. lightweight, comfortable, solid construction, quality materials. They look like they are lasting forever. I have been using them on daily basics ( I'm bus driver so I spend around 12 hours daily on the road) and so far I have only compliments for them. Glasses are a little too dark for my taste but, after 3 weeks with them I got used to their color and, with a very generous australian sun, I actually appreciated than they came that dark. Also I couldn't resist an very good price so I bought a second pair of Wiley X Valor Sunglasses. Those came with same frame and three pair or lenses: Smoke Grey (no polarized), Clear and Light Rust Lenses. Have been using them for sports (cycling, jogging, playing volleyball and messing around an not once they are fallen or moved from my face. Impressive. ... show more

  • Comfortable and functional!!
By far the best glasses I've owned. I wear a 7 1/2 fitted hat and these glasses fit securely, but not too tight that they hurt after wearing them. Longest continuous wear is about 7 hours. After an hour, I didn't even feel them on me. Wore them on an 1.5 hour boat ride on a completely sunny day and really helped with the glare. I turned my head 90 degrees to see how much the polarization was helping and it was substantial. I have sensitive eyes and these darken direct sun enough that I don't have to squint. Yet I can wear them until dusk and they don't darken too much. They have never fogged. The glass covers full range of vision without feeling tight to my face. Never have had marks on my face after wearing them. Retaining cord goes at a centrally converging angle so you can't see it when looking from the front. Recommend them without hesitation!! ... show more

  • Absolutely authentic, meets expectations
Originally bought a non polarized pair from Academy Sports ($75) but was under the impression they were polarized. When I found out I was misled and that I could get an authentic polarized pair from Amazon for $83 I returned my first pair and ordered these. I was a bit worried that some shady seller on Amazon might send me a fake or counterfeit pair since the price was reduced $50. When I got them I double checked all markings, the polarization and box. You will see "WileyX Z87-2+" on the frame and over the inside nose, plus in the very lower left of the left eye it is marked "POLARIZED" but you need to look close. They come with a hard case, neck lanyard, and microfiber cloth. The box will be marked CHVAL08 on the side as well. As far as performance. I own Oakley polarized prism lenses on a pair of fives squared and have also owned black iridium polarized lenses in the past. The WlieyX lenses are almost as good as Oakleys, but much more durable and shatterproof. WileyX is better for shooting, hardcore impact activity, or anyone who would prefer to save $20-$100 vs certain Oakleys. Overall, I think both companies are 5 stars, but still give a slight edge to Oakley (made in USA, maybe the best lenses in the world but pricier). ... show more

  • Better than Oakley Flak Jacket
I prefer these sunglasses to the Oakley Flak Jacket that I purchased several years ago. The lenses are clearer and they wrap around more. I have read other reviews stating that Wylie X sunglasses are flimsy.... well I disagree. I would consider them more flexible to a degree, but definitely not flimsy. Also, the replacement lenses for the Valor are less expensive than the Flak Jacket. Keep in mind the Valor are rated to handle projectiles ( I think it was up to 17 cal... don’t hold me to that, I don’t remember exact rating). In addition, my Valor’s are more comfortable to wear while at the gun range. ... show more

  • A review with pictures for your questions.
These glasses just arrived and I'm pretty impressed. This is the first pair of sunglasses I've bought that were over 20 dollars, so a little nervous buying them at first. They're also the first polarized glasses I've bought. I purchased these for work, and as an EMT I wanted something that looked professional and would help decrease glare while driving code 3 into the sunset. lol... Overall I think they will work great and would recommend giving them a shot. I'll try to cover some things I had questions about when buying them. They seem durable and will last a long time. The lenses are incredibly clear, something that really stands out to me due to never having purchased a good set of glasses. They did in fact come with a case, leash cord and lense cloth, along with information on how to care for them. As for the fit, they're perfect. I don't think I have a big head though, and if I did I'd be a little concerned. The material they're made of does give a lot of "play" to accommodate a larger head but I can't really tell if it would affect the field of view. The lenses are more low profile, and I purposefully bought them for this reason. One thing that may be of concern to someone else though, is that the lenses to cover my entire field of view unless I'm looking down, like at my phone. Then I can start to see out of the glasses. This might not be an issue on the larger glasses like the Saint model. Which look identical, just have a larger lense I believe. Nose piece and arms. Some people I've seen complain the nose piece isn't removable/interchangeable but I don't have any complaints her they're not poking me or making it fit awkward. Same goes with the rubber on the arms, they're not removable/replaceable. But idk what you would have to do to need them replaced. They seem really durable. P.s. One pic makes the inside of the lense look purple. This is not the case, I think it may be the polarization?? Lol, glasses noob here. Edit: scratch resistance may be an issue, my girlfriend knocked them off the counter and they got scratched. I watched videos on them and impact resistance is awesome (literally stopped 12ga shot) but seem to scratchy fairly easily. Dropping to four stars. ... show more
