These fit and I'm thrilled since I went to Home Depot and other local places and these could not be found anywhere. I later learned these were included when I first put hurricane shutters 25 years ago with the screws and the wing nuts in a set so these were hard to find. The screw is one inch long and it was tough finding these caps on Amazon so I was thrilled when I found these. My only concern is the material, I saw the seller posted in an answer to a question that these are made of pvc, will these melt in the hot sun? Im in Florida and the last thing I want is for these to melt on to the screw and not be able to remove them to put my shutters up and wing nuts on. Hoping that I get an answer and will monitor as best as I can. The ones I had originally were really durable and did not melt. Fingers crossed as hurricane Ian initially was approaching Tampa bay and we had to board. I want to make sure these stand the test of the hot Florida sun. They protect the threads but quickly become stained and you can’t clean them. Also ones that are exposed to sun degrade fast and fall apart when removing them.

Not something you need often, but must haves after a hurricane when storing shutters. These do a great job of protecting the studs left in the house. The old covers had been on the screws for 10 plus years and weren't in the best of shape. After taking down the Hurricane shutters after Ian passed, I didn't want to put the old covers on the screws . These work perfectly!!
