Top Amazon Reviews

  • Seems good but I intend to return it
Size: 9.5 Color: S6 | Dark Green
I read reviews or comments about this sneaker on Amazon and some people say the sizing is big and some people say that the sizing is small (in comparison to United States sizing standards for footwear). Often it is best for me to order larger if it seems the footwear is not like U.S. standards. The sneaker came wrapped in plastic. Seems new and straight from the factory. I did not bother to open the package. It seems the sneakers are too big. I could have tried them on to be sure since sometimes, the inside of a sneaker may actually be smaller than what you would think from looking at the outside, but it seems even if the sneakers fit right, they would look large and clunky on me. On the bottom of one of the sneakers there is a sticker that says size 43 which is a foreign standard for sizing. It can depend on the style of any footwear but I usually would take size 42. I have not tried the sneaker so I cannot authentically speak for the comfort, the durability, the traction, the support or how good they are for different activities such as walking or jogging or aerobics etc. That being said, strictly from feeling the sneakers in the package they seem to have a texture I like. The material feels strong and not flimsy. I think I would like the sneakers if I had them in a size that fits me. I picked the color I liked best, or did not dislike so much, but I would really have wanted something like heather gray. I may have to re-order at a different time and see if these are right for me. I would probably recommend these sneakers to someone at least to try. It can depend if I think someone I know is looking for a sneaker like this. . Just because they may not be exactly right for me does not mean no one else can use them. Again, I cannot verify the comfort or long-term durability or other aspects because I have not tried them but they seem quite good for the price and I have found that a lot of styles of well-known top-brand sneakers aren't always the best in material, design, and function. ... show more

  • Super cute, does fit small
Size: 13 Color: S6 | Dark Green
These are super cute, well made and comfortable. I got the biggest size (13), which is what I normally wear. Compared to my size 13 Skechers these are tight, I couldnt size up as there was not anything bigger then a 13 but if you wear a smaller size then size up one.

  • Shocking Surprise!
Size: 12 Color: S6 | Dark Green
87 mile update 12/29/22: Still great! After seeing a significant price increase in my usual running sneakers, and at my usual running focused website, I went to amazon to see if they had the same, or something comparable, for a more reasonable price. I dont know why these 'Whitons' were offered to me as a choice but I am now glad they were. I did buy my usual pair of sneakers but I was intrigued enough after reading some reviews of the Whitins, and about their composition and design, to buy a pair. I did this as an experiment to see how they would compare to my co-purchase costing $100 more. When both pairs of sneakers arrived things were as expected. My preferred brand was packaged solidly in its brand emblazoned shoe box. The Whitins came essentially loose in an amazon mailer, a left and a right sneaker, plucked from a warehouse shelf and bagged for shipping. They did, however, look very well made. The design was no less appealing than my usual brand. They had the feel of a good pair of sneakers. Before my first run in them, I joked with my wife that I was not going to go too far from home just in case I had to walk back with them in taters. Then I slipped my feet in. It was the kind of feeling I expect from my high-end choices (and sometimes dont get). The cushioning was excellent, the upper and sides felt like it was 'hugging' my feet. The tongue and rear were soft and comfortable. So I began my run. As I was running I was trying to judge the direction and degree of my bias towards these shoes. Did I want to find the experience positive because I would love to have a cost effective alternative to overpriced name brands? Was I going to be overly critical to justify my years of considerable expense? I put in 6-miles on the first run. For context, I weigh 185lbs, I do have some knee issues, and a casual run is about an 8:30 pace on sidewalk and cross-country terrain. I had a perfect run. The sneakers were stable. The ground strike was comfortable on my feet and knees. The shoes had zero indication of wear, other than getting a little bit dirty. On my second run with these sneakers I threw in some intervals. I did some 200 meter sprints at a 7:15 pace. I was pounding these things. They felt amazing. The next day I expected my knees to scold me a bit for the intervals but I was fine. I have now put in almost 30 miles in these sneakers. They really are a great pair of sneakers. There are always potential issues with such a low cost item, such as consistency in manufacture, but based on this pair I am wearing, I will take that risk. I have no doubt I will be buying another pair when the current pair reaches 300 miles. My 'major brand' sneakers are still in their fancy box. ... show more

  • Just as good as HOKA
Size: 12 Color: S6 | All Black
This is my 3rd pair in the past 3 years. I have bad knees from running so I needed a shoe with extra cushioning. I've experimented with all the other sports shoes and none of them worked as good as these. For comparison I bought the real $150 pair of Hoka and a pair of these $40 knock off Whitin shoes. Comfort and performance wise I cant find any real differences. I give these Whitin shoes heavy use so they only last me a year before they start falling apart. Going forward I see no reason to spend 100s of dollars on HOKA sneakers when these are just as good. ... show more
