I like how smooth the surface texture of the paper is and how tight the roll is. It doesn't immediately start to unravel after you remove the tape which is excellent! I tried a few different markers, pens and pastels with the paper. -Alcohol based marker bleed through -water based markers do well, but over saturation will bleed through eventually -archival pens did not bleed through at all -Sharpie type markers bleed through heavily depending on pressure -Oil Pastels glide well but don't grip the paper so there is a lot of smearing -Chalk Pastels do not grip the paper well at all so lots of smearing -Pencils do well on the paper (colored, graphite, etc) Overall it is a nice roll of craft paper, great for ideation sketches, layouts, and even for creating a surface covering to lay under other craft work to protect table tops or whatever you are working on. It is thinner than yardstick but heavier than basic copier paper- comparable to the thickness of 2 sheets of copy paper. It will not hold up against water spills or manipulation (like water color paint), but if you spill water on it you have a few minutes before the paper absorbs it and seeps through the back. If using it for bulletin boards or presentations, it is a nice, sturdy weight, easy to handle and secure without troublesome wrinkles or crumpling when attempting to staple, tape, cut or glue. I should have paid attention to the measurements, but this wrapping paper is ideal for smaller items- otherwise you waste time and paper trying to piece it together for a bigger gift. It’s nice, but it’s thin and rips easily. I had to double or triple wrap some gifts so the item would not be easily visible- using more wrapping paper. I would buy this again if it were offered on a larger roll. ... show more
